Any Rumors?

Perdue and Oklahoma come to mind, off the top of my head. There isn't a secret formula or a handful of colleges that have a mastermind coach developing NFL caliber QBs like a factory.
Perdue produces chicken, Purdue produces QBs.

Stanford produces QBs, Samford produces Duck (Hodges).

McShay, Kiper and Peter King all have us taking Najee at 1.24

Bermuda is not putting any eggs in THAT basket until his name is called...
They ARE all usually wrong when it comes to our picks.... Soooooo, when they are all in agreement.
Welcome to the Steelers Zaven Collins!

I believe they will take him if he is there. It will be difficult to get past both Jets and Fish with their two picks. I believe if they do not get Harris they will get Ettiene which is a good consolation prize.

I won't break my wife's laptop if they take Etienne (or Williams). Taking a LB will DEFINITELY cause me to throw that MF'er against the wall...

I "heard" Buffalo is trying to jump us, Jets, & Miami to get Etienne...

The State of PA provided us with Dick's (sporting goods), Virginia produced this dick^^^^^

Tua and Hurts haven't accomplished anything. They could just as easily fail as succeed at this point.
Tua went 6-3 as a starter on a Dolphins team that went 5-11 the year prior. Hurts unseated a former #2 overall pick to become the Eagles' starter in his rookie season. Saying that they've accomplished nothing is pretty shortsighted.

And with the Patriots' addition of Mac Jones, nearly 10% of the starting quarterbacks in the NFL will have also started at Alabama within the last five years. You simply can't say that about Ohio State.

But to be fair the Fish probably do more if they left Fitzmagic in.

Why? Fitzpatrick was 4-3 when he was given the chance to start, and 3 of those 4 wins were against the Jets (2) and Jacksonville (1).

Cause I've got eyes and watched them both play.
Right. And your eyes are telling you that a 38-year old journeyman who has literally NEVER BEEN A MEMBER OF A PLAYOFF TEAM IN HIS ENTIRE 16-YEAR CAREER was a better option than the #5 overall pick who went 6-3 as the Dolphins' starter last year?

Time for a visit to the optometrist.

Nope, you can't say that about Ohio State.
What you can say is that none of the Ohio State QBs in the NFL have accomplished anything. Nor have any of the Alabama QBs. After one season for Tua and Hurts (actually less than a full season for both), you can't say you know what you have. Haskins, I think we (the fans) know what's there (it ain't much). And Fields and Jones have yet to start an NFL game. Little premature to crown any of them.

Are we talking recent history or longer term? If so, Joe Namath and Kenny stabler say hello

No because the #5 pick wasn't ready and could only see about a 1/3 of the field. When Fitz was in you could see the entire offense open up. Kinda like that one year when Maddox took over for Kordell. Doesn't mean Tua won't be good. But the fish force fed that situation.

I'm not "crowning" anybody. I'm identifying a trend that has emerged in the last five years which points out that three former Alabama starting quarterbacks have secured (or are about to secure) starting jobs in the NFL. That is an accomplishment in itself, and it's evidence that negative bias towards a quarterback coming from that particular school is unwarranted.

According to your logic, Miami of Ohio (or Michigan or Wisconsin or Texas Tech) would be better "quarterback schools," because a guy who happened to go there has put together an accomplished NFL career and won a Super Bowl.
