Any Rumors?

Drink, obviously Coach is avoiding the board, “as there are better ones out there”. Plus, he knows He’s going to get drilled for the BS he spews for attention. Maybe the mods can ban him for the live draft thread.

So when the draft is over he will be back and tell us all how he picked this guy or that guy......................oh wait.........................he will wait two years to see if they are good or not... !!!!

If he was ture to himself yet alone us, he would get in slash's 7 round contest. we know he won't and we also know what kind of reflux he brings.

JUST for the record, I'm not entering because I don't know enough other than a few guys if investigated but you won't catch me saying ****/CHYT/SHYITE about I told yaz so..............

There seems to be a little steam picking up for Fields to SF at 3. I’m still not sure why he isn’t going 2nd to the Jets.
Because Zach Wilson is better?

True, and we can accept that. But, it also doesn't mean Fields will flop.
Also, like I said in another thread, why the hate on Fields for past tOSU QBs and none for Jones in regards to past 'Bama QBs? You could replace "Ohio State" with "Alabama" in your statement and the answer would be the same. None.
2 out of the 32 current starting quarterbacks in the NFL started at Alabama. In the past 5 years, not 50.

All this "so and so school had produced one QB in the last 50 years" nonsense, is just that. What school pumps out successful nfl QBs?

Is Miami of Ohio a well known QB school?

Tua and Hurts haven't accomplished anything. They could just as easily fail as succeed at this point.

Perdue and Oklahoma come to mind, off the top of my head. There isn't a secret formula or a handful of colleges that have a mastermind coach developing NFL caliber QBs like a factory.

Locally, they are saying here that the Ravens are all in on trying to get Julio Jones.

GREAT, hope they spend a mountain or trade a montain for an oft injured 1/2 season player. I know he is pretty good when he plays but not scary as he has been in the past. ALSO don't forget who is throwing to him.

He wasn't a starting QB at tOSU AND he hasn't really proven himself at the NFL level yet. Might be good. Might be great. Might have a **** second year and never bounce back. Let's not crown Little Joe just yet.
Sorry, I was making a joke.
I was gonna say him or Art Schlichter.

WE GONNA HAVE OUR BIG BACK

I'm reading that the Steelers are all over Najee or Zaven Collins.

They didn't show ZC a lot of love leading up to the draft. Hard to tell what is made up, what is a smokescreen, or what the true interest is. I am hoping Collins isn't the direction they are going in.

I've just seen a few "leaks" concerning ZC last couple weeks. Arthur Moats on SNR has been saying ZC for a while too....you know the Steelers...they value EDGE more than any other position. ZC seems very versatile and can move.

I'd rather we trade back, pick up an extra draft pick and go O-line...but I do like ZC a bunch.

Been in this kids corner for awhile now...his versatility is really intriguing to me also..

I know from the outside looking in it will be criticized for not addressing immediate needs...but I would hate to see Collins end up in Baltimore or Cleveland, which very well could happen...

Defensive rookie of the year possibility.

ZC would give you your 3rd edge, but playing inside. Could make the defense rather dynamic. I remember how disruptive Kendrell Bell was in his first year.
The thing about drafting a top back is will the Steelers use him. Will they become a 20-25 carries a game team again. The strength to their offense is still the WR's.

LSU is clearly a QB factory. They produced Jamarcus Russell.

I am changing my mind every 10 minutes. 1st it was LT. then RB. Now I am thinking if Collins is still there at 24 take him. He can play inside or outside and we need depth at both. He will not make it past the Ravens at 27.

Rumor here in Baltimore land is the Ravens are already working the phones trying to trade the 31st pick for a high 2nd + whatever else they can get

I think Collins would start day 1 next to Bush. 2 electric sideline to sideline guys! Not saying I agree, but would make a world of difference as he is a decent defender also. I would still look at Harris, OT and C in the 1st. I like Surratt later in the draft also for ILB or Moses coming off injury. If both RB's are gone and they can't swing Williams in 2nd or 3rd (doubt he falls that far) Hubbard, Gainwell and Sermon could all be there. I think this could also be the year that we play in the post draft/June 2nd Free agency. If no ILB is signed, I would expect they sign Avery Williamson back. COVID cap going to affect a lot of released, waived and FA after the draft. Hard to get paid with the cap. WAIT, unless you are the Ravens - PLEASE extend Jackson with a Flacco contract! Spend away...

I'll be very happy with Collins but I don't believe he'll be playing anywhere in the AFC Noth unless someone moves up. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Ravens make a move to get him.

Rumor is whoever turns in the pick at 24 will land a faster 40 time running to the podium than any prospect did at their pro day...whoever is going to turn in the pick better start stretching pretty good at pick 21 or 22 so they don't pull a hammy. It's all about speed to the podium boys, we have a streak to protect even more valuable than Mikey's no losing season streak.

I feel as long as they address a true need with RB, OT, C or even a ILB; they have to be a starter. No more reaching Bullshit with Jones, Burns, or Edmunds. Draft a guy with a 1st round grade and not 3+ please.
