who or what positions should they look at Saturday

I say at least one of the 4th round picks is OL preferably a tackle or Deonte Brown out of 'bama

other one maybe a CB or LB or hell another OL prospect

Round 6 will obviously be Marquez Stevenson WR

Round 7 best of what is left or a guy with a chance at having a huge upside or a kid like Grant Stuard who will make a big impact on special teams

UDFAS - a punter maybe RB CB EDGE rusher more OL prospects.

Jabil Cox at ILB can play side-line to side-line. Not sure if there are any decent LT's or even OL left but sure thought we would get a LT and C in this draft - one in rounds 1 or 2 and then the other by the end of round 4. Guess not. We got another project that will hopefully start in a year or two.

DEFINATELY another OL (tackle left)

Would be pleased with Brown

CB for depth or hell, even starter. We best get active in a FA bring in who can play

Round 6 will obviously be Marquez Stevenson WR

If that happened I'd hope you have your latex gloves and paper towels handy...............................................

Round 7 is always a project but how about that kid no one looked at and huge upside............ starting CB diamond in the rough

UDFAS - a punter maybe RB CB EDGE rusher more OL prospects.

PUNTER, maybe that one that Coach missed out on in the 6th..............................................

Yeah AB came in the 6th . I never count out a late prospect. There is some hidden gems out there.

I'm thinking both 4th round picks are on the D side. ILB, OLB, CB, and S are all in play. Wildgoose is there and so is that CB from Ohio State that played great in the slot 2 years ago but not as well on the outside this past year. He might be a steal if we can snag him and move him back inside.

I think you mean Wade. Definitely an option to replace Hilton.I think corner is a strong option for one of the 4th rounders.

I need to see who’s available, but I agree they’ll shift to defense or maybe WR is there’s a guy there who they like. The team as depth at tackle so unless they were gonna take an elite prospect, I don’t think there’s a need there right now.

I do think guys like Cox, Weaver, Hayes, and Toney will be on the radar and there was talk about Wade as a possible option, though a lot are not sold in him. It would have to be for a specific role. Safety has to be considered as well.

I’m greatly amused by all the incredulity and disgust in last night’s posts regarding the 2nd and 3rd round picks. Something to remember - it’s the NFL Draft, EVERYONE is mostly wrong with their picks. Keep an open mind.

For today’s picks, if I’m the Steelers and there’s a OT or OLB I really like, or was the next player after Green, and he’s still on the board, I look to trade up to get him. Teams are now allowed to trade supplemental picks, right?

Its just percentages... first rounders fail at just under 50% of the time and it pretty much halves every round from there

the sad part is this has little to do with talent and more to do with pedigree... if the last roster spot for a position comes down to a rookie first or second or even third round pick who is just trash on the field right now and a seventh thats outplaying him by a large margin, the team cuts the seventh and tries to practice squad him...

Basically your draft position sets your expendability....

yeah we needed a high end tackle prospect ready to go... taking a developmental guy is not really the direction that we need to go unless there is a gem they have targeted

I feel like their third round center might have been a gem pick for them... they targeted that guy for sure

Guys I like.

Lineman - Smith, Brown, and Hill
WR- Shi Smith
LB- Cox and Moses
CB- Wade and WIldgoose

I think they've got a solid A on the current picks.

Rounds 4 and 6 will be those 'diamonds in the rough' that we seem to always get at least one (AB says "hi")...

CB, ILB, OLB/DE are the targets I'm looking for.

Yep - Wade from OSU is the guy I hope they're targeting w/ our first pick in the 4th...

Unless you KNOW Coach Canada's plan/scheme for the offense - that's a bold statement to make on the expectations of the LT...

Like death and taxes, the Steeler brain trust will once again provide a WTF moment again today.

It's not like we have a choice in the decision, so just roll with it.

Did you watch Klemm's press conference? Everything he said about the guy shows they were targeting that specific player. Nothing wrong with that either. Find guys who are good football players and fit with what you want to do.

For me:

1. Nickle CB
2. Edge depth
3. Swing Tackle/Extra Tackle depth
4. ILB Depth
5. Returner/ ST Ace - Could be a WR or Secondary player. Don't care.
6. Punter

RB: Kenneth Gainwell
We don't need one, but if he falls far enough, I'm not going to avoid a player with speed and wide receiver ability from the running back position.

OL: James Hudson, Stone Forsythe

EDGE: Rashad Weaver, Daelin Hayes, Shaka Toney, Chris Rumph, Tarron Jackson

ILB: Jabril Cox, Dylan Moses, Tony Fields

CB: Shuan Wade, Shakur Brown, Marco Wilson, DJ Daniel, Tre Brown, Rachad Wildgoose

as 448 stated above with Gainwell, what about Michael Carter from UNC? If the steelers are that committed to running, Carter would be an excellent change of pace with Harris just as he was at UNC with Williams. He could be dynamic.

With 17 game schedules, maybe teams look for that higher end #2 back. We already saw Jax take Etienne while haveing Robinson already and Denver took Williams when they already have Melvin Gordon.

I doubt the steelers do it because i do think they like McFarland's potential, especially in Canada's scheme, but Carter would be an interesting pick to make a statement that they are running the damn ball this year.
