One, after the first SARS outbreak, people were found a dozen years later to still have antibodies, and/or Tcell and Bcell memory.
So far, with COVID...each time they do a study they find participants who had COVID still have lasting protection. Studies done after 3 months, patients still have protection. Studies done after 8 months, patients still have immunity. At 11 months, it will show the same and likely at 18 months and beyond.

There is reason to think that immunity could last for several months or a couple of years, at least, given what we know about other viruses and what we have seen so far in terms of antibodies in patients with covid-19 and in people who have been vaccinated.
The latest study adds to a growing body of literature and medical opinion indicating that natural immunity is long-lasting even without vaccination.

The study, published in
The Lancet’s journal
EClinicalMedicine, examined data from antibodies in 39,086 individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 from March 2020 and January 2021, taking advantage of Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings (Labcorp), “one of the United States’ largest diagnostic laboratories, which has access to some of the most substantial longitudinal data on COVID-19.” It found an “encouraging timeline for the development and sustainability of antibodies up to ten months from natural infection.”
