You obviously have an issue with the word "plan". They will bring him to camp and try to find a place for him. Probably the same "plan" they had for Rainey. Also you are either so ******* stupid you can't understand the difference between sizes of players that have a history of playing well or to ******* dumb to understand it. Comparing Ben to another guy his size is no big deal because there have been hundreds of players that size to play well. The reason Archer's size is brought up is because NOBODY has ever played well at that small of size. You're an idiot for even suggesting that isn't the case. So yes you are the moron.
 
Some people love to spend their time bitching about things all the time and some don't. I'm sure everyone has been around people at work or wherever, that their co-workers don't want to spend a lot of time around because they incessantly ***** about everything under the Sun without let up.

Not when the rah rah guys quote me and ask stupid ******* questions. The Raiders have 100s of coaches as well but they drafted only speed. Their "plan" was to put that speed on the field and outrun everybody. So yes, in a way they had a "plan" but it was stupid. The Steelers look like they've fallen into the "Damn he can run, let's draft him" mold. Closing your eyes and pretending the Steelers have some master plan for him is asinine.

True. But it's a vicious cycle because the "what's the point of a message board" argument also gets old. There will always be a new guy insisting that the Steelers FO and coaches are infallible.

Why would they have a plan for a guy that they may or may not get? I seriously doubt they had a "plan" for any draft pick because if they do, they must have 45 different plans laying around.

Haley obviously has plans for this type of player in his scheme, see McCluster...both Rainey and LSH got broken.

I didn't like the pick one bit, especially when there were MUCH better players available in positions of need. I thought this was a very arrogant pick. Arrogant or stupid. But whatever. I guess we will see what he can do on the field and whether or not there is a plan for him. I was upset when he was drafted, but I have calmed down since. I do not think the guy makes it out of camp, but I want to be wrong. It stings to see the Steelers waste picks.

I don't care how bad he looks, they aren't cutting a 3rd Round pick in his first camp.

So full of ****..a guy they took in the third round they are going to just try and find a place for him. Smh ok.. so no player his size has succeeded. My first thing i said was would of taken Desir or Bryant there. Out of his highlights i focused on how comfortable he looked catching the ball. Nothing else. Yeah thats rah ******* rah. I then from suggested how they may use him. You on the other hand suggested they took him only cause he fast and have no idea what to do with him.. sounds more like your contempt for the staff is showing more then me being Rah Rah. Comparing someone similar in size to Big Ben is fine cause the only thing that makes Ben successful is his size?????? Yeah ok..its more to a player then size..

Joe "Mercury" Morris, 5' 7" 190, played for the NY Giants. Selected in the 2nd round. 2 time pro bowler and won a Super Bowl with the 1986 team where he rushed for nearly 70 yards in the game.
 
Sounds like Mike is trying to be clever and cute. 170ish pounds is small for a grown man that is 5'8 and trying to play in the NFL.

He out weights Archer by 20 pounds and he played 30 years ago when players were smaller.

Just to add. He was heavier during his career. He was playing at 195+.

Take it easy, Frances. I am on record saying I do not like the pick. My reasons are different than yours, but I do not like it regardless.

However, with anything, Steeler draft picks, the weather, a job, whatever, it has to be better to try to see a little positive, eh Especially when we can't do a ******' thing about it.

The thing is I don't even hate the over all draft. I just hate this pick. I actually really like Tuitt and Bryant for where they were drafted. I just don't like Archer because he is so small and fragile. It makes no sense to me.
 
I bet Daniel McCullers has taken ***** that weigh more than Archer.

I agree. I don't know the players like you or TMC or whomever does. Therefore, I have nothing against the player. That would be unfair. I just don't like gimmicks. Especially for a team that has gone 8-8 for 2 years. Also, I hate giving coaches too many toys. They don't focus then on making sure they do a few things as flawlessly as possible. The offensive playcalling is all over the place. I can see it now. Bell will rip off a couple of good runs, and all of the sudden Archer will be in the damn game to do whatever it is he does, destroying momentum.

All that being said, I will hold out hope he can help them. I am not going to lose an ounce of sleep over it. Maybe they'll get lucky.
