Report: Aaron Rodgers Is At Steelers Facility On Friday

You’ve got the right to your opinion, I doubt many agree with you.

I know I’d want to the team to be relevant-winning playoff games and competing with the best even if they don’t win a Super Bowl- you half to be competitive before you win of course. I’d take that over this disaster we have now.

Cowhers teams could beat anyone-regular season or playoffs pre Ben

Tomlins teams are totally irrelevant post Ben. They are light years behind the Chiefs, Eagles, Bills etc. in the regular season and post season and can’t win a playoff game
I want the same thing. My point is though, should that happen and they don't win championships, it will not satisfy anyone. We don't need to guess at that. Again, refer back to late January 2005.

I completely agree that Tomlin has screwed up the QB situation. How can anyone argue otherwise? But he isn't the only coach to ever do that, and we have 2 examples with the Steelers to show that. It seems so many here seem to think Tomlin is the first guy to screw this up.

I used Cowher as an example. Then the typical response is he won playoff games and went to the Super Bowl with average QBs before Ben, and that's true. But there is a bit of 20/20 rearview vision going on with this. I remember this place in late January of 2005. Nobody then wanted to hear those arguments. It was, overwhelmingly, if Cowher hadn't won it by this time, he never will. Nobody gave a damn about getting close and that's how it should be. I don't give a shiit of Tomlin makes the playoffs and wins a playoff game or two. If you get that far, you gotta take it home, or it means nothing. Maybe in the past it didn't, you could see a team building to something, but with the way the game is today with player movement, every year is almost a stand alone.
I can argue otherwise. We are taking the media's bait: hook, line, and sinker when it comes to Rodgers.

There is no "QB situation." Tomlin and Rodgers have an agreement. Rodgers is 41...he is going to protect his body as much as possible...he is not going to be here for OTAs. He will sign in time for training camp. This is all baked up drama. No one in the media is right. Not Dulac, not anyone. Everyone is just riding the drama for clicks/views.

That's my take anyway.

Only if you’re a complete dumbass is “shut hell up” your response. Examples…

1) If my wife says the lawn needs mowed 5-6 times, guess what…I mow the lawn
2) If your kid keeps crying he’s hungry and there’s nothing to eat…ya go to the store and get some food
3) If your best friend says you should stop bringing home a different gal every night…ya get a new best friend.

Point is there are times to listen, and this dumbass ownership needs to open its ears and take the good advice…it’s not like the fanbase is saying something stupid like the best friend in example
3.
It is important to understand that those are things you have control over and can do something about.

The bitching here is more like:

1) Your wife is upset and whines all the time because her best friend looks great in a bikini and she...not so much.
2) Your kid pisses and moans because it's hot outside and it might rain later.
3) Your best friend brings home gals every night because he looks like Brad Pitt, and you look like Rodney Dangerfield. He lets you know about it every chance he gets.

You can do nothing about those things. So all you are left with is shut the hell up. Just like all the bitching in the world will not change how the Steelers operate. So...I don't think anyone should shut the hell up, but maybe not the same tired arguments regurgitated in every thread?

I agree, though. I wish they would listen to some sound advice. Maybe they think they are? Or maybe it has to truly bottom out before they are humbled enough to do so. But that advice won't be from fans. We are too all over the place.

No one’s happy when they lose.

What’s been happening the past 10 years-total irrelevence is unacceptable and on Tomlin, there’s a huge difference between losing in the AFC Championship and getting bent over the goal post in the wild card round and in the regular season by the elite teams and you know it

Eh, not sure about that analogy.

All those that tell Lloyd to STFU aren’t dumbassess and certainly are not Tomlin sympathizers.
And unlike mowing the lawn, firing Tomlin is not anything we can just go and do.

That analogy wouldn’t even work if Mr Rooney himself was here in on the discussion.
He believes Mike doesn’t need firing.

Speaking of lawns. Mine can wait another week.

Just admit you’re a Tomlin apologist, it takes 5 minutes reading your posts to figure it out, man up and own it

Keep scrolling or log off if you don’t like complaining about Tomlin. His tentacles reach effect every element of this team, it’s really hard for any rational fan to get excited about any positive development on this team because at the end of the day Tomlins outdated and flawed approach will negate it from making a major difference in this team becoming relevant- we have 10 years of evidence showing that to be true

Telling other posters to shut up or drawing pathetic psychological analogies to family life doesn’t make you look refined or smart, it makes you a douche

People getting pissed, fed up, and chanting fire Canada at Acrisure is the only thing that Rooney pays attention to so to say complaining doesn’t matter is bull crap, plus its a message board so…

People were chanting fire Canada literally across the county and at various sporting events like UFC and WWE events. I can see a similar movement for Tomlin soon. My biggest issue with Cowher was his obsession with Kordell. Kordell had one good yr at QB and people were ready to put him in the hall of fame. I feel with Cowher we were not really outcoached most times and I do not recall us just running dumb plays over and over. The team was aggressive and at least seemed to have some kinda flow to it. We were not running 5 jet sweep a game or 1yrd out routes over and over.

And there it is. When you have nothing else..."Tomlin Apologist!" It's like "racist!"

I was responding to another posters humorous "psychological analogies of family life." I thought mine were at least a little funny as well. Apparently you thought not.

Actually, I hope you guys are right that the chanting of "Fire Canada" is what worked. I really do. I just don't think it had any impact. Hell, if it did, Tomlin would have been gone years ago.

Not many apologists here. Plenty of whiny *******. My problem is that the whiny ******* keep ruining every thread, with the pentultimate whining ***** claim.. every single problem can be pointed to one person. So yeah , STFU, we know.

Why is it ok for you to talk like this to an “apologist” but not for someone to talk to you like this? You can’t have it both ways. You are basically telling Diver to shut up as you claim about others doing the same thing. Hypocrite. Diver is just as entitled to his opinion as you are and if that opinions is people whine too much about things that obviously isn’t changing he is more then entitled to express that. You also have the ability to just scroll on bye. Or we can all try getting along despite contrary opinions.

Just admit you’re a Tomlin apologist

Rodgers signed per the PG. No value listed. He should be at mini-camp. Hopefully, it's $30 million at most and preferably much lower. Anything short of a SB run and this was a complete waste. Getting to the playoffs and lose is a fail. Even winning one playoff game is still a loss as it puts us further away from a chance at drafting a QB1.

This has to be about the dumbest signing ever (outside of Watson). But I guess when a .500 season is your goal every year...do what you have to do to get to that magic mark. All this does is pushes them further from being a legitimate contender.

Unless. And the know it is a stretch Howard can be the guy after learning from AAron for a year. A guy can dream. Imagine what we could do with all those picks if he worked out.

I would call it delusional. What has this coaching staff done in the last 10 years to show that they can develop a QB.

LOL at us winning more than 1 playoff game with him, Tomlin as coach and no WR2. Prepare for another winning season and several Tomlin stupid winks to the crowd when we pull a few barn burners out en route to a winning season. Make it end.
