Agreed. That was a tough start. Looked like he had a path to a good narrative but sailed passes on second and third down that should have been gimmies. Now he gets three tune ups that arent gonna move the needle. Texas will have to contend behind really strong play now. Frankly, I hated his arm angle on both those late misses.
True but has to realize it could be Cleveland year after. After today might not matter.

I give arch some slack. First real start, first game of the year, on the road, and against maybe the best defense in the country, but he flat out missed several throws. OSUs QB didn't do anything special, but he outplayed Manning.

Penn State could probably go 2 TE sets and run for 300+ yards but they're spreading out, running hurry up and throwing the ball. It's good to see them get reps on the passing game rather than just do what it takes to bully a lesser team.

The opening drive by Bama looked good. 9+ minutes and about 80 yards to score the TD.
