You can't really compare era's. The QB's pre-1980 had a completely different set of rules for both themselves and their WR's. Post Blount rule it got easier. Then you have the glorified flag football/protect the QB rules the Brady's and the like have always played in and you can't compare. For all those who say Brady is the best, could he take the beating of those past era's, and could his midget *** dink and dunk WR's survive a corner/safety being able to hit them?
Now, take the Montana's, Tarkenton's, Unitas, Bradshaw, Staubach and players of that ilk and allow them free reign to chuck and duck with flag football offensive rules. He wouldn't be in the top ten discussion if you could do all that. He was a late pick for a reason, and to act like the cheating wasn't a major contributor is ridiculous. And then there's the opponent the last two Super Bowls basically gifting them wins where they were beat too.
