2026 NFL Scouting Combine

High probability that 2 of them will attached. We have nothing at the position.
Possibly 2 sure. I am thinking free agency might bring two. Maybe. Even then I wouldn’t be opposed to drafting two. Stock the position that arguably was the weakest…

Interesting chart. Lots of QBs drop off a cliff when they have to push it downfield. Mendoza is so consistent and even trends up. Ty Simpson showing his lack of arm strength.

Allar literally jumps off the chart. On the rare occasions they allowed him to throw vertical he was great. Too bad they made him throw tons of short horizontal passes. What might have been with real offensive scheme.

Yeah, it's the rest of the line below X-axis that is concerning. Short stuff should be automatic.

This chart affirms why taking a mid-round flyer on Allar is worth the risk. He had no help at WR for half his career or more.

I’m generally a fan of trading down in the first but it might make a lot of sense this year assuming no prospect unexpectedly drops. WR class is deep and drafting OG in the mid-late 1st round is a lot like drafting a RB in the mid-late 1st round.

I like a lot of the RBs but if the Steelers re-sign Gainwell, I don’t see them drafting one.

Definitely need a couple DBs and another DL to rotate in.

I agree, and would rather keep a known Gainwell than to gamble on an unknown anyone.

You know, another reason I don't want us to use too much of our draft resources on chasing a QB this year, is I actually think when new coaches come into a team, their first draft tends to be pretty good.

We all know McCarthy is going to be working extra hard. The new staff is working extra hard. Everyone's excited about their new positions. Anyone that has ever been in a new job knows the first couple months you have a bit extra pep in your step.

This is likely going to be a good draft if we stick to best player available. And they will likely fit what McCarthy and the staff want to do. These picks will likely be with McCarthy and this staff over their entire rookie contracts.

I just hope we don't FORCE trying to fix the QB position and end up overpaying trying to do it.

We really could continue the trend of getting good young players on this team (we've had decent drafts since Kahn has taken over). And if that happens, it just makes the situation SO much better when we finally do bring a young QB into the building.

Rome doesn't have to be built in a day. I know the success of New England and Seattle last year has every team salivating at their chances now, but you just watch what those teams do this year. I predict some pretty historic collapses from those two (maybe the biggest collapse of the two previous teams in the Super Bowl in history not in a strike year). We will see.

Seattle's D is recession proof, IMO, and they have a lot of cap space. I think they're going to be a problem for a while.

I could totally see NE regressing to 8 or 9 wins with a 1st place schedule.

My account must have been hacked. I did not post that at 3:40 am. I was in bed so I could get up and watch USA vs Canada!

Maybe you passed out and don’t remember?

Salute the nation

RBs
I'm looking for speed guys with hands. If not for his size, Desmond Reid would be such an awesome addition for an NFL offense. He's terrific out of the backfield and has electric speed, he's just small and gets hurt all the time.
unfortunately the guy I pimped out of UH did not get a combine invite, but he might fit your description.

Dean Connors - 5'11" 208 I can not find a 40 time as the Shrine bowl keeps them secret (at least from me) but he was clocked at 21 MPH in a game last season (at least that is what I have found). His highlights in the other thread show his receiving skills.

This chart does not show attempts. Limited attempts would really skew the results.
