2026 NFL Scouting Combine

I wonder if he'll fall that far. Is he healthy enough to throw at Combine and/or Pro Day? If so, I could see him moving up.
If he has a good offseason, I could see him ranging from QB2-QB4. I'd rather take a chance on a QB who probably would've gone top-10 in the 2025 draft if he came out over an average-armed, samll-framed Simpson.

I think Allar is going in Rd 1. Teams are desperate for QBs and so far I see people trying to talk themselves into Ty Simpson, a backup QB arm talent with good but not outstanding film. I'm guessing at least 1 team will see Allar as a top 10 talent with fixable mechanical issues.

I can see the Rams taking Allar. They have pick 13 and 29 in rd 1. Let him sit behind Stafford for a season or 2 while his mechanics get fixed. Steelers may also want that scenario with Allar sitting behind Rodgers.

Jets at 16? Please no. No young QB deserves that.

Will Vikings give up on McCarthy at 18?

Browns have pick 6 and 24. I'd hate to see Allar with the Browns but especially now with Shedur fans who are under the delusion that he's an elite talent.

Unless he really shines at the combine, I probably pass unless it is the last of our 3rds and we really like him. Sounds like he will do at least something at the combine. I doubt he does any running.

Yeah, I don't see it. Maybe someone desperate in the 2nd but not in the first. Not coming off an injury.

This chart affirms why taking a mid-round flyer on Allar is worth the risk. He had no help at WR for half his career or more.
It wasn't just that. The offensive design/scheme was stupid, not to mention guys like Devonte Ross on the bench in favor of guys like Liam Clifford. Allar and the offense never had a chance against the Ohio State's of the world. There's a reason the passing game improved with Terry Smith as HC. His first few games, they kept the attempts low for Grunk. Indiana game made that kid. He took off during that game and after. Sad to see him go, but he would have been playing behind a QB he is better than in Becht. Don't blame him for leaving.

I think late 2nd/early 3rd for Allar. He has all the tools. Needs to work on mechanics and footwork a little. As tape said, being able to sit behind a guy like Rodgers or Stafford while the coaches get him right may do wonders for him.

His injury was a broken ankle. I doubt that’s any kind of red flag unless it’s not healing properly. That seems unlikely. Josh Allen had bad college numbers and was a project. He went top 10. QBs are drafted on upside, not production. I’m just saying as this draft process evolves, with real height and weight measurements and scouts seeing them throw in person, Allar will stand out. He’s a risk because you have to coach him. But they’re all risks. Most teams would rather risk on the guy with upside.

I think that’s why Willis will get paid big time as well. Huge upside and has already shown growth in the NFL. He’ll cost you but you can sign him short and get out of it in a year or so if he’s not the guy.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Steelers took him in the 1st (Allar), provided they don’t sign a FA. QB such as Willis.

Kahn insists that Rodgers time frame is not like last year’s debacle, but also didn’t nail down a time line in yesterday’s interview.

Some are saying that Allar’s lower & upper body aren’t in sinc, that’s the base of his mechanical problems. Very coachable and with MM as coach, I have way more confidence than if it was the old regime.

Salute the nation

I don't understand why people keep making excuses for allar. People blame coaching / WRs, but last year was supposed to be it. He had some very abysmal halves against very poor teams. This is not the pros and in college talent usually shines through. He is tall, fairly mobile, and has a good arm and that is about it. People put way too much stock into physical traits. Even if he was 100% and had finished the season I wouldn't touch him till the 4th maybe late 3rd depending how the rest of the draft went. I can't think of anyone else who had a such a mediocre college career at QB that is being talked about as a first round pick. The only guy that I can think of is Matt Ryan, but he threw for 4500 yrds his last year at BC.
