2026 Steelers draft grades

Yeah, maybe a little over the top with the comparison overall..
And yes, he didn’t play a whole lot, especially early on but injuries had a lot to do with it last year..
My point is the guy has needed attributes to be a outstanding defensive end with how we run our 34 defense , similar to what Aaron Smith gave us all those years.. not to mention physically he looks the part and similar to Aaron..
And one last thing… I’m sure all of us had no clue who Aaron Smith was out of Northern Colorado when he was drafted..
You just never know…
I know that you follow Notre Dame closely, so I hope you're right, homie!

I hear ya man
We absolutely ignored our ability to get better at stopping to run this draft, and as you all know, I was a strong proponent of using our first two pics to fill that need..
We still need a pure nose tackle to make this 34 defense the best it can be.. and it’s not gonna be this year..
Unless there is a tectonic shift in the league it likely won't happen. The league is using a lot of 2/4/5 and the base is being used less and less. I don't see them drafting a 1 or t2 down behemoth for just Nose. Roster slots are too few and far between. If they expanded the game day active list to 53 then maybe. Which they should do.

They need to expand the regular roster to 65, they have for two decades now... the owners dont want to pay more benefits and the players dont want to share the wealth anymore, but the way injuries are dealt with these days its needed

It would extend careers and pay more people.
