Sept 28, 2014. After spending many thousand dollars on airfare, hotel and lower level seats on what should have been an auto win against the Mike Glennon led Buccaneers and losing 27-24 yeah at that point I knew this team would never win another championship with this clown left to his own devices. The funny part is that the game was a part of a feature on HBO about being married to a famous player or coach and Tomlin's wife was chosen. They probably thought it was an auto win too.

No worries. HBO did a sequel with Mrs. T, this time with a guaranteed, sure-fire win at home against the 0-8 Lions ...

I dont believe its scheme or players being this bad. When i watch this team play i see a lack of effort, no sense of urgency. I see some veteran players coming out in the media questioning practice (and essentially the coaching staff). When players do things like claypool did (multiple times this game) and like the defense did celebrating a interception for a photo op while being behind it says one thing to me. Culture!

Have the Jets had any good players on their team in the last decade plus? Yes they have and the whole team has underperformed for a long time. Why is that? Culture! We have a culture problem on this team. That starts squarely at the top and works it ways down. The fish rots from the head. It starts with the owner and goes down from there.

Tomlin is a Trash coach and has been since day 1. He has squandered more talent than probably any other coach in the NFL. We have been watching the same problems with Tomlin coached teams for years and its getting worse each year. The man has lost the team. Firing him today would be the smartest thing this team could do but they wont. It would send a notice to everyone on this team, but again it won't happen for several reasons.
