7-Round CBS Mock Draft to mock

Would take BPA WR in the 2-3 rounds, this CBS mock would shake out like this:

20. Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia
52. Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati
84. Nick Cross, S, Maryland
138. Jayln Armour-Davis, CB, Alabama
208. Pierre Strong RB, South Dakota State
241. Changa Hodge, WR, Virginia Tech

Agreed and I don't want ether of the Bama ACL guys.

Disagree 100%. If Jameson Williams is there at 20 and the Steelers don't take him, the Steelers will owe me a new television.

Metchie III will be ready by August, 9 months after ACL surgery. He is quick, a superb route-runner, and gets open. He dropped one against A&M, another against Tennessee, but tore Auburn a new @sshole. Skilled, quick, good hands (not great), and possibly available at 84.

Yes, please.

Agreed. But 84 is not 20. If they get him at 84. Yes please as well. But look at Bush and Dupree. Who had their injuries earlier. The 9 months gets you running and cutting. Clearly not football ready. That takes more like 2 years.

Like you traded down and got an extra second. Depending who is on the board that would be a sweet move.

that is first-pick. I have noticed that the trades start out crazy but as the draft nears they seem to settle down a bit.
Davis was picked by the Ravens at 14. Penning went at 19.

Davis at 20, Pierce at 65, Cross at 84 - all tremendous talents with not a reach among them. Castro-Fields is underrated and a bit of a steal at 138. Goedeke is a converted OT, good footwork, balance, good run blocker right now. McKenzie one of those recruits who never seemed to pan out as expected, but has the physical tools to be a good RT. Heighligh is talented receiver, big, physical, in the Juju mold.

Also get two picks for 2023, including a 5th to make up for the 5th traded to get Witherspoon.

Used PFN. Had a moment of weakness sigh I hope I didn't jinx our draft.

This draft is the perfect opportunity to trade down and collect some good talent for the future. Or we can reach for a QB.

Yep. The team has insured it does not need to make a panic selection. Basically every position has ... somebody. A lot of spots can be upgraded (in particular, RT, C, LB, S) but the team is not in the "Oh my God, we need to select Troy Edwards!" mode.

So after making sure they have no need to panic, I fear they may panic and trade up for a guy not as good as Trubisky.

Like this mock - get Davis, a possible QB and solid upgrades
