#84 Not Shy On Social Media

Yes, Ike.

According to the local radio host on the Dolphins who knows about 40 current NFL players from various teams, Billy boy is the coach least want to play for. The reason given, he runs a tight ship.

So now you know Ike. The crap Bell and AB play on Tomlin would not happen in New England. You are a fool to think otherwise, or perhaps you know its true, but prefer to build the brown residue on your nose after kissing Tomlin's *** so often.

Even our own players say the Steelers lacked focus. That starts with the head coach, or as Tomlin likes to think of it, the leader of men.

Yea, you're right. No one would murder one, two, three people under Tomlin....

Tight ship and all that bullshit...

Well, I guess all a person has to do is get on the radio and say they know 40 players from various teams, not just NE, and their word is gold then bam, we are more knowledgeable than the actual player themselves.

Belichick comes from the Parsell tree, he has his hand in every thing. And I mean everything. Yet, Brady is exempt from the “tight ship”? I call BS.

You have a player (Haden) speaking to an actual beat writer for the team, not some radio personality who isn’t a journalist. That player pretty much calls Tomlin for what he is, Black/white methodology to where the player stands. Otherwise known as holding the adult accountable. What you don’t know, as it is not discussed publicly is the team‘ internal handling of discipline, unless it’s reported (like Bryant’s).

You keep saying stuff that Bell and AB does to Tomlin wouldn’t happen in NE. What stuff, AB tantrums on the sideline? His FB flap? I’ve never seen Bell do anything as slight to the coaches.

Brady does more sideline theatrics than AB ever has. Berating a coach or even better an official after a game on live tv? Gronk is a party freak and a social fanatic. BTW, he’s on a contract dispute too and hasn’t shown for offseason activities. Where’s all the comments from you with that?

For you to imply I kiss Tomlin’s a$$, is a testament to your own stupidity, which just proves even more that your own head up is so far up your own *** so you can hear yourself talk. I am more critical of Tomlin in coaching areas you can’t even begin to conceptually understand. I give credit and criticism to the coaches/players equally. But I also know coaches coach, and players play. Coaches job is to prepare and put players in the position to make plays. Players job is to know his assignment and physically make plays.

The only way I would be considered a fool is to think anything you say is a lucid and coherent statement. Go back to your coloring book.

I just hate when peeps want to pump up Billacheat like some god.His team has distractions. Benching a CB at the inopportune time. Gronk acting like a idiot here and there. Brady with his deflategate.

Yeah the players don't need to bring the drama because that cheating *** coach has that base covered. From the headset issues, to formation issues, to playbook stealing issues, to spygate issues.

Yeah mother **** the cheatriots and all they stand for. And **** those bandwagon fans while we are at it.

If anyone ever wants a prime example how important a coach is look no further than the job the Eagles did with a backup QB.

Some try to belittle coaches influence. But if they aren't properly putting that team in a position to win. they won't.

Spot on Slash. You have to give Pederson props. But he would know how to handle a backup QB situation because he was one for a long time. They had the perfect situation for Foles.

Another example is the Rams. Goff was terrible and reports were that he could not grasp the play book. Then they change coaches and Goff starts to look like a league MVP. Coaching can make a huge difference on a team

So what you are saying is that coaching does matter, and that good coach's get more out of their players than a coach with lesser skills?

If so, said coach should be praised went the team does well, and likewise admonished when the team loses.

This is sure to come up sometime this season when the Steelers blow a game.

Or just ask Coach are players good because of coaches or are coaches good because of players? Give him a few days he will respond how right he is both ways. He always has an agenda to push.

I don’t think today’s athletes are a whole lot different at their core than prior generations.. social media just illuminates it. Some guys are just divas. AB produces on the field, wants to win, and sets a good example with his relentless hard work. So the social stuff doesn’t bother me.

And as for the coaching conversation.. nobody gets more pissed at Tomlin than me when we lose to bad teams or lack focus or overlook opponents or can’t beat New England, etc etc. There’s plenty to hold against Tomlin. But I think this whole “has no control over players” is a different issue, and not true. We always say “with this talent we should win the super bowl more”.. but would we still see Brown and Bell as the best at their positions, and have 10 Pro Bowlers, if we had different coaches steering the ship? Maybe Tomlin does know how to get talent to show itself, which would suggest some level of “control”. I just think he gets arrogant headed into certain games (and they’re predictable) and the team doesn’t come in with focus. Different subjects

Poor AB.

If AB doesn't want a bunch of attention, then stop attracting that attention by constantly using social media platforms. It's probably not as simple as that being a superstar athlete, but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt.

Would be nice to see these players be a team not all look at me's, Tomlin need to get control of this.

ESPN Staff Writer
PITTSBURGH -- Before taking the field for the Steelers' minicamp, Antonio Brown had to address his frustrations away from it.

Brown told reporters in front of his locker that he feels "constantly under pressure" and cited the need to clear his mind for missing the past two weeks of voluntary OTAs.

"I can't go nowhere and work out by myself, fans come meet me at the field -- I can't do nothing normal," Brown said Tuesday. "You guys write about me every day. My mom and my kids see it. So we have to deal with these type of things. I started to think to myself, am I really free? I can't really express myself in this game. I can't really tell you how I feel.

See you in September? Steelers brace for life without Le'Veon
His teammates would love to see Le'Veon Bell and the Steelers reach a deal, but they are set to prepare for the season without him.

"You guys make the pressure to put pressure on me all the time. Am I really free? I got to asking myself that in regards to taking time away from my kids. ... I had to get away to free my mind."

Specifically, the star wide receiver took issue with media asking teammates why he skipped all but two OTA sessions and the depiction of Brown's comments about teammate Le'Veon Bell, who's away from the team for the second straight offseason because of rocky franchise tag negotiations.

Asked last month what advice he'd give Bell based on his own experiences, Brown said, "the first rule of getting better is showing up."

"You can't make anything better without showing up ... [To] make everyone understand where he wants to be -- he wants to be here not just for this year, but years to come -- come out here and show up," Brown said on May 23 about Bell. "Show up and get better and show guys you're serious."

Brown believes those comments were misrepresented.

"You guys paint me a picture to talk about Le'Veon," he said Tuesday. "I'm not involved in Le'Veon's business or his contract. You guys write about it and say, 'Oh, AB says show up.' I just said the first rule of getting better is showing up. I didn't say show up. He's got his own business.

"But that's what I go back to referring -- you guys put the pressure on me all the time in regards to life and regards to everything and we're just supposed to take it. That ain't freedom."

Brown began the interview by taking his shirt off, then expressing excitement over the Steelers' prospects for this season. He said he did not miss OTAs because of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's absence and said he'd play with any quarterback.

After a few minutes in, Brown went deeper.

"Am I really free? What am I playing this game for? To acquire records for who?" Brown said. "When I'm done playing, no one's going to remember what my stats were in 2016 or my stats were in 2015?

"Those are things I have to clear my mind to get away from the game -- a lot of issues this game presents that you guys didn't really cover or no one really says anything about. I'm just left to deal with the madness you guys make up and create, and it's like no one even cares."

Roethlisberger missed all but three OTA sessions because of a preplanned family vacation. Brown said the perception that he didn't want to catch passes from backups shows a lack of respect, especially for rookie quarterback Mason Rudolph.

"But no one cares about what they write about or what they say about people. I'm just left to deal with it," Brown said.

Brown, 29, is coming off an NFL-record fifth straight 100-catch season. He said he's not venting, simply "stating the reality."

"You guys make up pressure and put pressure on guys like myself, and it's not fair," Brown said. "You're asking my teammates when I'm out when I'm trying to get my mind right and do my job well, you're asking my teammates why I'm not here and you guys are making up stories to ask these guys stuff they shouldn't even be dealing with.

"That's the pressure of being a professional athlete -- everyday scrutiny, everyday pressure. It's hard to be free."

Brown is active on social media and often highlights his workout whereabouts on his various accounts.
