Anyone tuned into this game....? Kinda crazy....Der Fuhrer is really pushing for a team in London....this is crazy!

The AM local start time really isn't that crazy of an idea, assuming the participating teams arrive in London in ample time to adjust.

In hindsight, they probably should have done this from the beginning of the London series.

As much as I detest the idea of a franchise located in London, I wont lie, it was pretty cool to wake up and have football on right away. Now I see how you west coasters live!

Falcons are really taking it to the Lions early.

It was promoted so well that this is the first I am hearing of it.

Well, with a 9:30 am kickoff, great US ratings are not exactly the priority.

It's more about exposing London NFL fans to a day game, as all the previous London games have been played a night.

This will probably be the lowest rated natinoal NFL telecast ever. I'd even go on to bet that the ratings for this game will probably be lower than the ratings for Notre Dame in Ireland (Though both games were played at the same time of day).

These teams have zero national draw. Locally they'll be watched, but their normal viewing audience is either still in bed, working around the house, or at church. Plus the rest of the nation (besides the east coast) have kickoff times of 8:30, 7:30 and 6:30am. (not counting the pre sunrise starts in Alaska and Hawaii).

Terrible idea and another instance of diluting a great product.

Matt Ryan may have thrown one of the absolute worst INTs I've ever seen.

I don't know what you guys are griping about. The early games were ALWAYS at 9am when I lived in Alaska. Going to a sports bar at 830 AM to watch a game was the norm for me. In fact, I MISS the early starts. SNF was over by 8pm for me every week.

regular season games in london is ******* ignorant...**** godell

I don't care so much about a team in London but a 33 team league will suck as much as the 31 team league did.

On a side note, I bet there would be a strong aversion to playing for a London team. I love London, but I don't think I would want to live there and fly overseas 10+ times a year if I was.a player.

Omg what a crazy ending to that game.

Something just doesn't seem right about the Lions getting a second chance at the FG.

The Falcons are bad. Worse than we are....and that's BAD.

Did the refs blow that final call? If the offense commits a penalty inside 2 minutes doesn't that call for a 10 second runoff on the game clock? Should the game have ended on an offensive penalty? Or no because it wasn't during gameplay there is no 10 second runoff?

I'm just curious as to what the rule is there.

delay of game is a dead ball foul. You can't decline dead ball fouls. ATL has no one to blame but themselves. A holding penalty, then a dropped pass when trying to run the clock out. And people ***** about the playcalling we have at the end of games...

I know the rule, it just doesn't seem right, especially given that I'm not convinced that it was delay of game, as the telecast playclock just hit zero as the ball was snapped and the officials usually give the offense a second of leeway.

Fox's clock could have lagged the official clock in the stadium, but from what I saw, that was an awfully quick delay of game flag.

Also, I've felt Mike Smith should be fired for awhile now. People justifiably rip Tomlin for coming up short with a good QB, while Smith is even worse in that regard.

I concur. I loved watching football "first thing" in the morning - MUCH BETTER than watching Chris "Booble-Head" Berman (sp?)
