I think we have two guys that I believe we could maybe get some late round picks in exchange.
Ben Sauls the x Pitt Panther kicker has looked damn good this pre season. We’re not keeping him over Boz so why not try a trade?
Next, Skylar Thompson our third string QB who has played very well. Why not a trade to team looking for a solid backup?
If they prefer to retain Skylar then maybe try and trade Mason.
Not expecting anything significant but a couple late round picks in the 26 draft. We already have twelve picks so why not 14 picks?
Kahn should make an effort at least!
What say you boys?

I guess if Thompson is better then your third. Maybe. Doubt anyone is taking the kicker. There are at least 16 or more getting cut this weekend. Bernie Bishop did not play last night. That tells me is going somewhere. Probably a 7th.

Like i said, Denver may be looking for a punter... they used to employ waitman...
couple teams had kicking competitions, if no one stood out they might want Sauls
If we are cutting any Tackles with experience, they have value right now
Thompson probably does too...
we could trade bishop depending how the CBs play out... they are enamored with Daryl Porter jr

The Panthers beat guys were raving about Sauls mostly cuz they need a kicker. Should have just made the trade after the game. Trade a 7 for a 6 or something like that…or just snag a 7th.

He looks like he’s got a live leg on him.

I was thinking the same. the guys leg looks alive. Not dead.

I just didnt want him in the division because he is an expert at long distance kicks at Acrisure/Hienz field....

Other than the slight potential on missing out to another team, why wouldn't they just wait for them to be cut?
Because there are a couple other teams that may be looking for a kicker, and Carolina probably has other priority waiver claims besides K as well...

Panthers are rumored to be shopping Theilen

I’ve heard the cost around a 5th is what they’re looking for.

So maybe instead of us moving up in a pick flip try something like Sauls and a 6th for Theilen and a 7th

He’d likely match well with Rodgers as he’s a great route runner, he fits the 1 year window they’re trying to pry open. Seems like a win win for both squads.

He allegedly wants to go to a contender so that may rule Pittsburgh out tho

I only have a problem with the last line in your post.

I find that if you squint and vision out there, anything could be possible.

Myself as an example I squint and see, but if My desire is bigger than I can see,…… I keep squinting a little bit more.

My 17-0 expectations require much training in the “squint” mode. I stare directly at a full sun for hours per day……….. and eventually

My vision will become a reality. Good thing I didn’t cut my eye lids off as this activity would have been wasted.

Strike the last sentence then

Fully squinting I now totally see a way where if the other squad that Mike faces in a WC game has beaten its horses even more than Mike has beaten his horses they could actually win down the stretch run should the other horses stumble and lose the turnover battle by say 2-3.

So indeed, the heavily brown painted window has been ever so slightly wedged open so that in a perfect storm scenario vs a weakened squad where the Mike has a significant edge in the turnover component of the game, obviously he could squeak out a nail biter and actually win a singular playoff game by say 3-4 points raising his standard to new heights…a divisional round blow out

I can totally see it with squinty eyes

So the pundits are focusing on Bishop getting zero snaps in the final preseason game to say he is potentially getting traded...

Tomlin notoriously undervalues slot cbs.. they sre deep in cbs and S who can play slot. They have several other options at depth CB like Trice and The other porter jr... ( if he makes the team he needs to be DPJ or OPJ to keep confusion down

The Force is strong with this one.

Keep squinting my young padawan, everything is possible and as a bonus... while doing in public, most are more forgiving while you cut in line for the pop-corn.

That is the reason. If you need a K, and worried you might miss out once the guy you want is cut, why not secure him for a minimal investment?

I do like 🍿
Gotta have something to eat as I stroll up to the movie theatre this season and have the choice of watching

a) Groundhog’s Day (obviously)
b) Mike Tomlin’s dilapidated house of Fear

Ahhh **** it, give me the double feature I’ll just grab a bacon sandwich at the snack bar in between.
