Aaron Rodgers Contract Offer With Steelers Is Reportedly A Massive Number

Kenny was an Art pick all the way. So was Najee.
I can't get in principle be mad because at least Art knows what is priority...OFFENSE...You need a great freaking QB & quality stable of Running backs

I don’t disagree at all with that. Got to have a top notch QB and a stud RB.
Pre
Pretty much have to be picking in the top ten though to get that QB. Occasionally one falls out of that top ten and a team gets lucky but doesn’t happen too often. Of course you can miss on top ten QBs as we all know. Not an exact science that’s for sure.
RBs in the first round, unless it’s a Sequan Barkley caliber I’m not biting in the first round.
Najee should have been mid to late second round and Kenny, third round and that’s probably generous.
I think for us imo we need to have a down season in 25, maybe win 5-6 games. Have a top ten pick and with the accumulated comp picks and whatever else, move up and get our guy in the 26 draft. Is it a crapshoot? Of course, it generally is but that’s where we seem to be.

With Rodgers history of being an ***, and the way he is purposefully dragging this out, dangling the hopes of the 3 teams that are apparently still interested, I think all 3 should just say thanks, but no thanks. The Steelers certainly should.
Rodgers is in the driver's seat and has every right to play every team against each other until there is no one left to play.

I would be willing to bet that the Steelers haven't just been sitting around doing nothing. Sometimes you just can't sell a product you are forced to represent. Mike Tomlin has shown for years what kind of offense a QB will run in Pittsburgh. Just maybe nobody wants to have that failure on their resume and the Steelers are not willing/able to overpay to get SOMEONE to reconsider their NO.

I would rather have picked up the fifth year on Pickett than 50 million dolllar Aaron Rodgers sideshow.

I think you mean Fields. Problem is that 5th year option had to be picked up BEFORE last year (just days after they traded for him). The second issue is that would have cost then $25.5 Million dollars for a QB they really had no idea if he was worth it. In the end he signed for less than that in NY.

If you do mean Pickett your dates are off and they traded him WAYYYYYYYYY before that decision needed to be made.

I know a guy who had shoulder surgery, this guy was one tough son of a *****. He also had hip surgery and bicep surgery on two other instances. He said nothing compared to the pain of shoulder surgery, it was epic. His double hip surgery was a breeze in comparison. Nothing. But his shoulder surgery needed lots of painkillers. Brutal.
Because most shoulder surgeries require anchors to be placed in your bone. And with my situation, the slap tear, they will also cut my bicep clean from the labrum and attach it to the bone. I'm super excited!

The only reason I want the Steelers to sign Rodgers is because it'll probably be a circus and a potential disaster for the Steelers. I want change and it's gonna take an implosion of a season to get this team to make significant changes.

That crack may have started.

This whole situation has been a major embarrassment to the Franchise. It does show how inept Tomlin can be. He has put himself in a situation that never happens to respectable teams. A complete reactionary decision making in response to the QB position.

We can’t change the facts or narration of episode, we can share the same boat of wishful outcomes.

Salute the nation

Nah, I meant Pickett. I was just saying I'd rather have the trash that was the Kenny Pickett experience than to beg a washed 42 year old to grace us with his glorious abilities for copious amounts of money.

They are sitting here without a legit qb, after they booted Kenny's trash *** last year.

Now a year laster, rinse and repeat. Fields was justified to leave this sinking ship.

It is feeling like the eighties all over again. There is no clear sense of direction with the team at this point. For years, Colbert was missing on their draft picks. Stuck overdrafting players for positions of need, as opposed to stacking the team with good football players.

At this point, any qb who is still available obviously isn't a qb to buld around. I wouldn't have a problem with just rolling with Mason. Let the chips fall where they may. I could live with 5-12 and drafting in the top 5.

Hopefully they can find and develop a young qb, with their lottery pick in 2026. Of course the problem with that is I know that these buffoons don't develop their draft picks.

Still contend that they just should have kept Pickett and Rudolph last year and been no worse off for it. It's a clown show now, believing a geriatric QB past their prime will save this franchise.

Clown-lin holds clown shows, it what he does.

It’s the classic blind leading the blind on Water Street in Pittsburgh.
Art II is allowing Tomlin to run this **** show and embarrass this franchise with this Rodgers fiasco.
This just goes to show you how inept and incompetent Art II is as the majority owner. This entire QB mess smells of Tomlin who has always had a thing for Rodgers.
Tomlin, not seeing that this QB is a mere shell of his former ability is living in the past. The guy did not elevate the Jets but instead was more of a distraction there. They were quick to realize this and got him out of there.
I have absolutely zero faith and confidence in the leadership of this franchise.
They are being played by Rodgers who even if he would sign I wouldn’t expect much,

The Steelers need to and should have moved on from Rodgers. This is embarrassing already.
I actually don't mind it. If we get him, my opinion that it most likely blows up and will get us closer to Tomlin's end stands. And the longer this goes on (even tho it's not even all that long), the same could happen.

I can. The Steelers need Aaron Rodgers far more than he needs the Steelers.

Mike Tomlin, in an effort towards preserving his streak of Tomlinships may need Rodgers BUT the Pittsburgh Steelers definitely do not need him.

They would be much better served letting Mason, Skylar and a draft pick have a legit competition for the position and continue to search for their future in the draft (this year’s and next)

I have a torn rotator cuff, and a slap tear in my labrum. I could technically live with it how it is, but I would never be cleared to go back to work, and would struggle doing the hobbies that I have (mainly lifting and golf)

If you have good muscle tissue it should be a pretty quick turnaround.Be OCD about the rehab. I saw you said "lifting " so I'd imagine you have good muscle tissue.

I'd love to add Dobbins to the backfield.
Now this is a good option if he's still available. I didn't watch Chubb at all last season so my first opinion was strictly based on his past performance...

I've let the Kenneth Gainwell signing simmer and I see a better version of Jaylen Warren with shades of Isaiah Pacheco sprinkled in. I still do not see either as bell cow RBs...
