If Rodgers comes aboard it's probably only because he will have big input(philosophy and game day wise) into the offense. I would think besides money that will be the other thing that must be given for him to sign.

Rodgers would want big $$$$$ to be our QB and OC. If we can also give him the HC title I will be on board with signing him. Anything to get Tomlin's fingers out of the bowl.

I agree personality wise, but physically I think Cousins is done. He is less mobile than Wilson or Rodgers and I don't think his arm is as strong. I doubt he would come in as a mentor / backup role

No. I would start him. If he falters, Rudolph with your nose so bright…I wouldn’t be surprised if Cousins has a turn around year this year vs last. We saw Ben after his elbow surgery and how he wasn’t that spectacular. Smith seems to understand how to use his quarterback better than Zac Robinson.

I dont get how people arent understanding the QB market right now...

Top half Qbs ... not stars mind you, just above the average guys, are gonna be getting 40-45 million dollars per

Average starting qbs are in the 30-35 zone... people thinking Fields only got 20 million per do not understand the contract he signed...
He got 30 million guaranteed.. so basically they are compensating him 30 million to start this season...

if he does great, they will renegotiate a bigger long term deal in the offseason...
if he does not do great, they basically pay him top end backup money next year

Russ was asking for 30 million and got no takers.. he accepted a 1 year 21 million dollar prove it deal. Russ's contract will have a higher cap hit, But fields contract is actually much better..

My guess is Rodgers asking price abd wilsons initial asking price were probably close enough that the Steelers decided Rodgers was worth the gamble more than Russ

Yet in Ben's last season they didn't want him throwing across the middle..... until the 4th quarter that is.....when Ben simply did his own thing. Ended the season with 7 fourth quarter come from behind wins.
