And uh, how often does THAT happen? Now take THAT number and compare it to the number of children aborted for the sake of convenience or to avoid embarrassment or humiliation or being grounded by Dad. Hmmm. Utilitarianism suggests the greater good makes this an easy problem to resolve.

You're aware of course that quite a few laws surrounding legal abortion don't require women to see a 3D ultrasound of their fetus before it is aborted. This is because, naturally, you don't want the woman becoming attached to the small, vulnerable life growing inside her and 3D ultrasounds have precisely that effect on folks.

But I tell you what. I'll meet you in the middle. For those folks who feel SO strongly that abortion should be a true and legal choice for a woman, fair enough. However, at the same time, the woman and whenever applicable the man who got her pregnant and agrees with her getting an abortion must undergo a mandatory hysterectomy and vasectomy. They don't want children, right? Let's not continue to throw unborn children away. Let's solve the problem and let those people go on out and screw like rabbits if they must without life-ending consequences for an unborn fetus. Everyone's happy! Except of course the ONE unborn child who had to die in order to simplify someone else's life.
 
Toughie. If it's murder, there are no extenuating circumstances.
