They lucked out not seeing Seattle for a 3rd time this season. Minnesota was garbage and GB away from Lambeau in January isn't all that tough. How the hell do you give up 270+ yards rushing or whatever the total number was? That's god awful.

I don't think it is pathetic for a fan to want his team to have the most rings or not have the tally matched.. But yeah they didn't cheat so we give them props for that. Think you are being a little harsh here....

This 6 SBs win use to mean something but with the tarnish the CHEATRIOTS have put on football, most records / alcolades / stats / ect. Don't mean near as much as they use to. The game has changed from even but a few years ago but one thing that is gone permenantly is integrity. Things that use to mean something have ZERO meaning now as there is NOTHING behind the accomplishments or success due to the way the league has been running things.

IT IS ONLY ENTERTAINMENT and NOT intended for any other other purpose.

I'd be good with either team honestly. A couple friends who are good respectful fans that don't talk **** on my team cheer for the 9ers so I've kinda adopted them as my playoff team. I saw the Steelrs in Santa Clara and the fans there were pretty good. It would be kinda cool to say I saw the SB team play. I think defense wins and they get their ring. But Mahomes is very capable of putting on a cape and winning the thing.

No worries. I remember when our main weapon was a ground attack and we wished we had a QB. Then we got too infatuated with the pass in my opinion. If we can just strike that balance of an effective running and passing game, along with our improving D, I think we'll do pretty well next season.

Obviously easier said than done. Man that's a tough balance to achieve and maintain though.

Two young excellent QBs.

Was talking with friend of mine recently who has been a die hard Stiller fan his entire life like me (both in our late 60s).

He said we need a lot of help in all Offensive skill positions.

Made me think.

Our QB? Old (will be 38 in March 2020) and took a heck of a physical beating when he was a younger player. Coming off of serious shoulder/arm surgery with no assurance of how the future will pan out. Back ups? After this season don't go there.

Our RBs? Ugh where do I start. Connor is always hurt. Snell might have a future but he's a rookie. Not sure if we have a full back anymore.

Our WRs. Where do I start? JuJu didn't step up AND was injured a lot. In fairness, losing Big Ben so early AND our WR coach dying just before the season probably played a big role. Moncrief was a disaster. We need some solid WRs.

TEs? Same story Vance McDonald felt like he was injured a lot. Sure miss Heath Miller.

My take? We need to sign a veteran QB in his early 30s to play along BB. We need to develop a better WRs core. We need to find a STUD RB.

TEs? Others in the league seem to find them. Where are we?

My friends comments made me think. It could be a few lean years of offense until we see any improvements.

The only thing that's harsh is when you realize how far we have to go to be as good as Andy Reid's team.

I didn't say the Niners cheated. I said there is a pasterisk on the other team with 6 rings. I'd prefer to not have SF tied with us for total championships. Yes I am competitive and want OUR team to be the best, always. **** the rest.

And that happened in back to back years. If SF wins it would be back to back years again we get tied. We need to get #7 while we still have Ben.

And 49'ers fans suck. There's an "NFL Fan Fights" compilation (or two) on video and the majority of the fans fighting are drunk 49'ers fans. I thought it'd be majority Raiders fans, but those idiots take the cake.
 
Mahomes did a commercial with Troy. So, he has a Pittsburgh connection. We all must root for the Chiefs.
 
If the league didn't change the rules, aka the Mel Blount rule, would the Niners have any of those early rings?

It's as rational as any other reason. 99.9% of us only have an emotional investment with any team, including the Steelers.
As long as you don't have a financial stake in a particular team, who cares?

Not wanting the 49's to match the number of SB wins as the Steelers makes perfect sense to me.
