It kind of seems like he made a parallel move from the Eagles to the Steelers in terms of power and responsibility, but the Steelers seemed to just put a different title on it and paid him more money than the Eagles were willing to.
Not sure how the Eagles felt about that.
He definitely seemed to want to come back to Pittsburgh and he and Khan have apparently been friends for a long time.
He might not even desire to be a GM right now and just values being home. If he wanted to run a team anytime soon, he may have just stayed with the Eagles for another year or two until the right offer was presented.
