ANOTHER TRADE WITH GREEN BAY

Is he an OLB as Watt and Highsmith or is he a DE who can be on the field with Watt and Highsmith? Good signing only giving up a 7th.

He's listed as 6'-5", 265 lb, defensive end. If that is his true weight, he's probably too small to play inside Watt or Highsmith.

I dont get this one if he is an edge player unless Slash is correct that Herbig's injury is worse then reported.
That and Leal has been unimpressive. If you remember out of the gates they had different plans but a player retiring put a dent in the depth at the position. They couldn’t afford not to have a reliable rotation. So the here and now you have a capable player that can spell the two starters. When Herbig returns you have an attractive rotation. Greenbay changed their D in the offseason so perhaps Smith wasn’t a great schematic fit but still showed capable .

I like this pickup more than the Williams trade .

Yeap, he is serious depth. They saw what happened when Highsmith and herbig were out, zero depth and Watt been double teamed making him spend more stamina for lesser results.

SB Bound!!!!!

The defense only works when they can rush the QB and having Herbig and Smith coming off the bench is huge for the second half.

Isn't Leal on IR?

Leal not up to snuff, Herbig still hobbled. I am guessing OLBer…

Leal is out for the season on IR, so he’s his replacement. He compares to what LaMarr Woodley was.
