Look maybe saying going away was a bit over the top statement but do you think we had a good shot if we got even below average offense versus the **** the bed offense we got? I was there. I can tell you had they given the defense any sign of life we win the game. Even my brother was feeling hopeful. Right up to the fumble return. At that point I think our defense realized the offense wasn’t going to do anything. The game was there for us to win. Obviously we didn’t. In the end we are hopefully better off for it because as much as I liked Tomlin I am ok with him leaving. As long as we make a good hire.

Agreed, but, that's just the going rate for those guys who are deemed to be their team's "franchise qb", rightly or not

Most of these “franchise” QBs aren’t true franchise QBs. There are not very many true franchise QBs.

Money would be better invested elsewhere in the lineup. I've said that for a while though.
