Anyone else thinking?

Injuries are coming hot and heavy this season... i thought we'd have some trade options, but if we add, it will have to be for Picks

Queen will be fine. Had a solid game yesterday in stopping the run and dropping back into coverage.
Dobbins prior to yesterday had been tearing it up.
As for my main man Nick Herbig….Loved him since he got here.
You saw those two sacks, he looked like he shot out of a cannon. Guy has much more burst and speed than Highsmith. He must be on the field.
I like Highsmith but think Herbig is a better pass rusher. That’s me though!
Definitely the better pure rusher
Alex had the advantage at setting the edge
Looks like the injury to Highsmith will be an opportunity for Herbig to shine tho

Yea, groin injuries linger. Won't be surprised if he's IRed. So that may put the kibosh on trading Highsmith.

Russel to MIA, I'd want Waddle. He fits our system as an X better than Hill.
You’d want Waddle for Russ sure
But maybe able to get DuBose and a 4-5th

C’mon, nobody trading a top X WR for a Russ rental

You been up in that serious loud Styker?

3 years 41 million. He wasn't brought in to hold his own. I'm not saying he is playing poor. I'm saying I expected more. You get an opportunity like today once every three four games. Dropped it right in his mits.
The kid is fine. He's still learning his teammates tendencies during game play.

The dropped INT still resulted in the Steelers being the ball back so no harm no foul although apple turnovers are sweet...

See my new thread. No links provided but the rumors have started.

Even Adam Scheflter thinks it can happen...

He reads my posts...

I think Waddle for Wilson is fair. I think it's more value to lose if Miami traded Hill for Wilson.

The truth is, the Dolphins have no QB, a great system, talent, and OC. They need a stud, and right now, the only stud QB in the league that is on a league minimum salary is RW. So if they want to make a move, like Berm said, it's pretty much the only option they have, unless they're going to run wildcat for the rest of the season.

I still think Stryker been up in the loud, by I assume everyone is these days. I 😶 plead the… fif

They may make an offer, but highly doubt it includes Waddle or a day 1 pick unless something else is headed their way.

I think Herbig has the advantage when he comes in because he is rested and mainly there to rush. Keeping all 3 for depth is definitely ideal. I do agree Herbig needs to see the field more though

It sounds like you're grappling with a tough decision regarding Highsmith and Mini-Watt, and it's a dilemma many fans face when evaluating player performance and potential. Highsmith indeed brings proven experience and a solid edge presence, making him a valuable asset. However, Mini-Watt's emerging talent and impressive pass-rushing skills, coupled with his ability to drop into coverage effectively, might provide a dynamic advantage that could reshape the defense's versatility.

Balancing the immediate need for quality with the potential upside of Mini-Watt is crucial; it might be wise to consider how each player's strengths align with the team's overall strategy and future goals. Ultimately, a thorough assessment of their performances, along with the team's defensive scheme, should guide Shades in making this challenging choice.
Good post, though, I think because Highsmith isn't flashy he doesn't get the credit he deserves as an all-around linebacker. He's been an ascending player and established himself as one of the top all-around OLBs in the league last year. He isn't a monster rushing the QB so he'll never get the league recognition, but he's a perfect complement to Watt with Herbig being the ideal rotational player where he can flash his tremendous ability as a pass rusher.

I've been saying it since last year on the podcast. You might have to move Highsmith to get Herbig on the field. I'd trade Highsmith today for a top X WR.
Well Herbig is on the field now.....also Highsmith is the better all all-round player. Herbig run defense is .....well he doesn't have a run defense. So you are picking and choosing your poison. No reason to move Highsmith until Herbig becomes an all around player. He might never become that player. Time will tell.
