Anyone have a spare room for the Draft?

You can crash at my place. I'll be throwing a wild, three day extravaganza you don't want to miss. There'll be plenty of food and snacks, all types of alcohol, some recreational drugs, music, sex and maybe some fighting and arguing. And you don't have to pay for a thing. The best part is, you don't have to worry about long waits for the restroom as you're the only one I'm inviting over.
BWAHAHAHA!!! Winner!!!

Stay home, save your money and your sanity.
Pittsburgh is too small of a city and its horrible highway system will have difficulty accommodating 500,000 additional visitors.
That area where the stadium is located is very condensed and even hard to manauever after Steeler home games. Been over there many times attending games when coming to Pittsburgh and am familiar with it.
That city is not constructed to handle that many people and will be a mess.
Stay home and watch it in the comfort of your homes.
Your adventure gene is wreaking of estrogen...

You’ll get there! That time will fly by, trust me.
Only advice I can give and I’m sure you’re already on board with this, be as prepared as possible financially.
I had a plan and it was have everything paid off….
House- check, New SUV- check, Credit Cards-check.
Didn’t want anything hanging over my head when I retired. Nada!
And have stuff to do… Golf, hunting, fishing, bike riding, whatever you like to do. Join the gym too, that’s good for you to stay active. Must stay active!
I am not wealthy but I will have my debt completely paid off. I can sell this house and find a nice little country home. Visit my friends and family. Go walking fishing etc. We have them but yeah we don’t use credit cards. Nice little scheme people came up with to suck the money out of our wallet.😅

I particularly enjoy how one inquiry can suck our credit score down.

What kind of welding class?

Asking for a friend.

Wire Feed and New Generation Aluminum heat welding (stick type).

Farm and Ranch general topic, generator supplied power.

Educational entitled, but also so easy that even YOU can handle it.

WAIT…………….

I mean your “Friend” can handle it……….. Paul can too..!!!

In which case, I'll be coming to this forum to beg for a crash pad. It will be a bit longer than the draft will be, but I'm pretty good at fishing, so we should get along well.

I hear yaz Paul and would never want to jeopardize you in any way.

I find myself in near same predicament while KAYAKING and welding.

Hard to hold the stinger while paddling at the same time….

I never have a problem with visitors. 😉👏

My friend and his dad have been lifelong season ticket holders and are going nowhere near Pittsburgh that day. Parking is $500 for 3-4 days. Parking at Mt Oliver which is pretty far away is $200 / day. They thought about Uber, but not sure how reliable that would be. Pittsburgh traffic on a normal day is ridiculous I can't imagine cramming 500k+ there. Then if your are not a season ticket holder you have to pay to get into the "pit" . If you are not camped out I can't imagine getting close enough to the stage to be able to see anything better than the screens around. I just can't imagine it being anything but pure chaos

Thank you Priceline. Got two nights at the Sheraton in Station Square for a somewhat reasonable amount.
For some reason I feel this would be a fun experience but the prices for rooms are insanely outrageous. Anyone going to the draft want to rent a spare bedroom for a night or two? I will buy a few rounds as well.

Be careful what you ask for. If my brother or coworker doesn't join me I have a double with two queens. Paid $270 a night plus taxes. Friday and Saturday. Not terrible. About the same as the typical home opener. Thursday night was much higher, so I am skipping the first round.

That sounds pretty reasonable compared to some of the pricing I have heard about ........... that is less than a half a tank of gas .......lol

Do you bring your CMT blowup doll when you travel?
Relax,Relax. Just giving you the gears.

I’d go in a heartbeat if I lived closer. And of course finances are there. I mean it’s a once in a decades event for Pittsburgh. I’d walk around downtown just for the atmosphere…….there must be extra public transportation for this.

If a little city like My hometown of Vancouver can host the Olympics and the World Expo for weeks at a time,I’m sure the city of Pittsburgh will do just fine. In my city I went downtown for Expo nonstop, bought an event pass for the duration of the whole event . For the Olympics the atmosphere was electric, bars full, concerts, people from all parts of the world….it was fantastic. You only live once….or as my dear father told me “ you’re dead for a long time “. Go out and do it people. Not rocking chair time yet.

I’m jealous, have a great time and hopefully you and Slash and whoever else is going from SteelerNation will post pics and updates.
