Apparently business is booming in Ft Lauderdale

yJETER-articleLarge.jpg

Not too shabby. But nothing compared to Teet's crib in Casheirs, NC. You can't slide down dirty creek rock beds anywhere near Jeeter's crib.

Funny you say that and I'm a dog / cat lover too. The first thing I thought was "Antonio, I hope you don't slip and break a leg or something due to these slippery floors" WHooAolly ****

Dude, you're posting in different colors and now random capital letters. Go sleep it off, bro. (though drunk posting is hilarious, I'll admit)

Maybe he knows about a contract extension we don't know yet about?

There is a lot of money in Fort Lauderdale, especially on the ocean and intercoastal waters, but the town has a large underclass once you starting heading west past US1. I work in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Live in the suburbs elsewhere.

As for football talent in high school, South Florida is the king. I hear some high school head coaches can clear 50k a year, and this doesn't include many of the perks or their base pay as a teacher.

He probably makes quite a bit on different endorsements as well, probably didn't have to touch is football salary for that.

If I'm going to spend that kind of coin on a house, it better have a view of something other than a row of bushes.

It turns out he dropped $6.6 mill, not 4.

And, as of yet, he doesn't have all that endorsement $. He ain't mackin' it like Aaron Rogers or Tom Brady.

He set a record for paying the most for a house in the neighborhood, and is NOT even on the water. That is dumb from the get go.

AB's New $6.6m House

http://steelerswire.usatoday.com/20...booming-with-purchase-of-6-6-million-mansion/

While the article clearly doesn't point out the fact that the Rolls Royce was provided by Rolls Royce for free in order to market their car, $6.6m is a LOT to spend on a house. I don't care how rich you are. Is he letting his celebrity get to his head a little? Why someone would even want a 12 bed 14 bath house with 18,000 sq ft is beyond me.

More pics of the house on Zillow: http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/3600-Estate-Oak-Cir-Fort-Lauderdale-FL-33312/43220483_zpid/

I get if you are an athlete having 2-3 homes. I get it. But why spend this kind of money? I guarantee AB will be broke 2 years after he retires. I follow him on FB and twitter and the dude is always shopping and not just him all his family and bags and bags of crap. I doubt his kids wear 1/10 of the stuff they buy and I bet they never wear it a second time. He could take half that money and stick it into some type of investment for his kids and when he goes broke they would at least have a trust fund and have some cash for their future. Kid suits are cute but a college degree and a nest egg would probably mean more to his kids in the long run.

If I won the power ball this is what I would do.

Near family and have lake access. 500k

Own my own damn island in the keys. 1.5 million

Downtown Burgh and I can walk or Uber to any Steelers, Pirates or Pens game.

So for less than 2.5 million I got the best of all three.

Nice house, where's the yard? 6 Million should get you a football field and an airplane hanger for the Boomin' Rolls.

Kids these days....

When do we(fans) have to start making mortgage payments?

When do you spend $6.6 mill on a house, right near the ocean, but not ON the flippin' ocean? For that jack, I have the ocean in my face with my morning coffee.

Nice house, but at that price, the house either needs to be on the water or have an AMAZING view. This is land locked, with a road around it. Location sucks.

Also I didn't know AB was jewish. If he's not, he has one room to gut...

They still don't make as much as Teet's maid.

If Antonio Brown ever had to sell that mansion I'm sure he could find some rich hip-hop producer or rapper to buy it from him. (See 50 Cent buying Mike Tyson's house, Dr. Dre buying Tom Brady's house, and Rick Ross buying Evander Holyfield's house)

Are the 2 buildings in the foreground part of AB's property or only the central building? Geesh, it feels crowded, but to each his own.

In answer to your question lets talk math
House is 18,000 sq.ft.
Lot is .3 acres 43,560 sq. ft. to an acre divided by .3 acre = 13,068 sq. ft.

so you see, there is some fishy math going on here. The realitor must be pushing the numbers................ Maybe this is why it feels so CROWDED, built or encroached on neigbors property. A man's gotta have his space YAZ know

You are aware that the house is more than one floor? You can stack square footage on a single footprint.

I also would never buy an estate style mansion given the wealth. I bought a big house on 2/3rds of an acre three years ago thinking I would stay in it until death or the old folks home. I'm already looking forward to downsizing. We rarely make use of half of the rooms. I can't imagine having even twice as much space.

totally, but was trying to "get" a few bites................

Yes, but weren't Tyson's and Holyfield's houses sold at steep discounts?

The real question is how does the price compare to the homes around it? If they're selling for comparable amounts, then he'll be okay. If he bought the outlier, then he is F'd.

"complete with a built-in synagogue"

AB is Jewish? Who knew?

I saw Billy Corben's "Broke" from 30 for 30. The multi-million dollar mortgage is where it starts. I love AB, and for his family's sake I hope nothing bad happens before this monstrosity is paid off.
