A lot of the talking heads have stepped down upon personal reasons / information, whether they make that public or not is their choice.

DIC explained his statement pretty clearly in post #27.
So he presupposes worst case scenario with absolutely "no receipts" as he says. Why couldnt he have the opposite attitude? Words are spirit ...unless hes projecting whats going on in his own life upon other people there's no valid reason for making a comment like that unless you're hoping ill will upon a person.

Right from the start, DIC said he was speculating. And there is a bunch of speculation surrounding the rumors about Tomlin knocking up a bartender/nursing student. Not saying they're true, but there are some specific details out there which wouldn't normally be found in a complete bullshit story. Like the name of the woman, names of particular bars, NDAs, hush money, private back rooms, etc. And apparently it (allegedly) had been going on for quite some time.
I don't know Tomlin personally, but I do know that he rescinded the small-town paper credentials my dad and I had right off the jump in 2007, after we had been covering the team in training camp for several years. After a 4-hour drive, we were flatly turned away from St. Vincent's, and given no reason. And I never met the man, but one day back in 2023, my 16-year-old son and I were entering the UPMC Rooney Complex to meet with Pitt's coaching staff and tour the facility. I saw him exiting the door as we approached. As we were about to cross paths, I raised my hand and said, "Hi Coach!" He offered no acknowledgement, and kept walking right on past us. Kind of strange.
If I said I wish Tomlin well in whatever he does, I'd be full of shlt. And I think if he did indeed cheat on his wife and family, then he deserves whatever eventual consequences come with that. I guess in your small mind, that makes me a POS, just like DIC.

As a black man myself... I find that I don't like him because I think he had been criminally overpaid since about 2016.
At least you have personal interaction with him. Some people's emotions are rooted in play that occurred on the field only and ill never understand that. Its a game you watch and play on a Sunday or whatever. Typically has no bearing on your personal life unless you're betting on games. Nothing that happens on a field of play should linger into emotions that would wish for ill will towards someone.

Your interaction could be attributed to a bad day he was having, negative interactions with other people projected on you. Not making excuses just saying it happens and somedays it feels like the world is pissing in your cheerios and you might not be the most sociable. Im sure you've never dealt with the publicity or media on the level he has so hes probably seen or heard a lot of things in his time in Pittsburgh. It probably weighs on a person after awhile. I wouldnt take it personal unless y'all actually know each other.
I dont feed into rumors no matter what they are. If its in the dark it will come to the light and leave it at that. Its too many people living in glass houses who got a lot to say.

It legitimately bums me out that the Steelers turned down a trade offer for MT.
Still have my fingers crossed that someone will bite on the Mike Tomlin experience for their franchise while the Steelers still own the rights.
I have no idea what your are and dont care especially since you cant or won't prove it ..but if you think there aren't fans that dont like Tomlin because of his color then I got a nice sunny beach in Antartica I can sell you where's its 80 every day. I never said every fan that dislikes Tomlin is because of his color nor do I believe thats its the majority of fans, but there are most certainly fans that dont like him because of his color because I read initial posts flat out saying it. You can summarize Tomlin’s career by saying he was damn lucky to have Roethlisberger and play for a clueless owner that doesn’t fire coaches. Otherwise, he’s Hue Jackson.
Tomlin was lucky to have Rothlisberger, Belichek was lucky to have Brady, Reid was lucky to have Mahomes, so on and so forth....what other rinse and repeat comments do you have to make???
