Are all South West Boarder states all going Blue?

In the 1980’s Republicans used to be able to House andSenate Races in the State of California, and also win the electoral votes forthe Presidency. That was 40 years ago

However due to illegal and legal immigration things have changed. The state now has 27% of itspopulation as Foreign Born, which amounts to roughly 10,674,000 people. This does not include the anchor babies born here that are USA citizens. Most of the foreign born and anchor babies that are citizens are poor. Democrats know how to prey upon them. Vote for us, and will give you free stuff from the USA citizens paying taxes. As a result ofthe change, which is heavily due to illegal immigration over the past decades, Hillary Clinton won 61.5% of the vote in California. Some parts of California are now okay with non-usa Citizens voting in local elections for school boards and such.

New Mexico is not a solid blue state with Clinton beating Trump 48.26% to 40%, a 65.567 vote difference. The electoral vote count here is relatively small with the total being just 5.

Now we are seeing Arizona ( 11 electoral votes ) going blue for theSenate, and Texas ( 38 electoral votes )having a somewhat close call.Trump won Arizona by 91,234 votes. If the Republicans lose Texas in a presidential race, it would be very difficult for them to win. Flip Texas and Clinton winsin 2016, 270-268

My short conclusion is unless illegal immigration is slowedor stopped, Arizona will be solid blue in years, and perhaps in 10 years Texas will be a swing state in maybe 12 years.

Illegal immigration has nothing to do with it. I think it's more that Republicans are chasing moderates out of the party, so moderate Democrats
will take more of the independent vote. Flake would have easily won reelection, but Trump chased him away. The Dem who will likely run
for McCain's seat was a Republican until Trump chased him out of the party.

Sounds like we gonna need...more razor wire!

I don't think Texas will go that way and I'm hoping the people of Arizona realize they made a mistake and make corrections.

Basically all the moderate blue collar dems voted Trump into office... why do you always chase your narrative when the facts are exactly the opposite?

Dem scare tactics worked well on the border state areas... you don’t realize how many pure illegals really are around there... when Oklahoma, which really isn’t a border state, tried to pass a bill that required paper identification on everyone or else they risked deportation, literally tens of thousands of people fled to texas in fear they would be deported because the dems made it look like the bill had a real chance... never was gonna pass ... all hyperbole...

Anyone who thinks illegals don’t vote is sorely misled too..

This thread is about Southwestern border states. Blue collar dems haven't helped Republicans in these states.

you need to exercise your critical thinking skills.

you need to exercise your critical thinking skills.

Those are skills that are no longer taught in school, and a major contention issue with my son growing up. My sons teacher never assigned the critical thinking questions, I made him do every single one of them.

In AZ there was a huge turnout of young voters, much like the rest of the country. Also a large migration of former Californians, but I suppose they're vote could go either way.

These folks weren't here, and didn't vote 15-20 years ago, and believed Sinema saying she was independent and works across the isle, and not who she really is.

She did a good job transforming herself and frankly, McSally was a weak candidate.

I would think that the former Californians would vote R. They left because of all the damage that liberal policies cause.

Depends on what part of the state they are from. If they are on the interior of the state they are usually conservative (except for Sacramento). If they are along the coast they are liberals. Like most socialist they believe California is doing it wrong but it will work somewhere else.

Being a native Californian, I never thought I'd see the day Orange County, aka 'Reagan Country' turns entirely blue. Donald, you're doing a fantastic job, keep it up the great work.

Tibbs,

I think I explained why it turned blue. Foreign born people and anchor babies votingare a reason why. Another reason is California has so many problems those whorun the state try to convince the voters you need to vote for us or you’ll loseXYZ.

Meanwhile the state as a 1.3 Trillion dollar debt. Houses are too expense for most. The State might collapse from its own weight one day,and it can thank its luck stars the tech companies are still staying.

Indy,

California has 12 percent of the nation’s population. But did you know California has one-third of the nation’s welfare recipients. Its true. And shameful. These failed cites or in this case states are black holes creating downtrodden that vote Democratic for help. When 1/3 of the state depends on the government, Republicans won't win. Its that simple.

I'd really like to see a law that says " x " amount is for federal welfare, and if the USA has to pay extra for sanctuary cites, or illegal immigration, the funds will come from here. Illegal immigration will quickly be solved.

Coacccch, you know absolutely nothing about Orange County, CA if you think 'foreign born people and anchor babies' brought on this blue tidal wave in the midterms. The fact is, it was a clear denunciation of Trump and his hijacking of the GOP, and shows true conservatives hate his guts and see him as a clear and present danger to the Republic. The truth stings, no doubt.

LOL, pure comedy reading Trumpsters wax philosphical on things they know nothing about. Stop watching Tucker Carlson it's clearly deteriorating your brain. Are you speaking of California that's now grown to the 6th largest economy in the world? The one with a $6 billion budget surplus? The CA that ranks second highest of the 50 states in life expectancy, after Hawaii ? You're calling that California a failed state?

I remember moving to the Long Beach area in 1974. Every one told me how "John Birch" orange county was.

Yes, it was. That's why this blue wave is such a shock in OC, home to many defense workers and ex-military people, naturally more prone to vote conservative. Places like Huntington and Newport Beach and Costa Mesa have primarily wealthier and older people. Again, more prone to vote conservative.

Until Trump came along. Makes you stop & think, doesn't it?

Well thanks to BRAC all the military people are gone. They closed the shipyard and naval base in LB and closed the marine base in Orange County.

I keep seeing a predicted surplus cut cant find the actual numbers But I don't see anything mentioned about the pension debt in CA.

Yep. The majority of this county's homeless are in L.A. and San Fran, too. The street shitters are thriving in California! Thank you, free needle program! Now they need a free diaper program.

1.3 Trillion dollar debt

That’s less per capita than the federal debt, but you don’t have a problem with Trump adding a trillion dollars a year to that. Do explain!

No non-discretionary spending is doing that not Trump. We can either cut social programs or ride this **** right into the scene of the crash. Then its anarchy and hockey mask time.

The Dems won't be happy till we're just like Sweden

Another day another gang rape: Woman raped in Swedish playground by three Africans

A 25-year-old woman has been gang raped by Africans in a playground in central Stockholm. The woman contacted the police herself on Friday, who then arrested the three men the same evening.

The arrest warrants show that the men are 18, 20 and 29 years old. Two are citizens of Somalia and the third in Eritrea. One of them needs interpreting in Somali and another in Arabic. Which means that they most likely are newly arrived migrants.

Two of them are previously convicted. The 18-year-old has committed assaults and drug offences. The 20-year-old is convicted of several cases of theft and drug offences.

One of them is also suspected of a rape that took place in February. After the gang rape, they robbed the woman of her belongings, for which they were also arrested.

Sweden rape: Most convicted attackers foreign-born

Immigration and crime are major issues in Sweden's general election campaign. The vote is on 9 September.

The anti-immigration Sweden Democrats hope to make significant ground, although they have slipped to third place in the latest opinion poll

Anger in Sweden over gang rape acquittals

Five men accused of a 2016 gang rape in the Stockholm suburb of Fittja were acquitted of all crimes on Tuesday in a move the accuser’s lawyer called an “embarrassment for [the Swedish] legal system.”

Senior Judge Erica Hemtke found the lead witness's account of the events was unreliable and there was not enough evidence available to the court to prosecute.

The prosecution alleged the victim was brutally assaulted by up to 20 men in the stairwell of an apartment building. They further alleged that two of the men on trial filmed the incident, though the court could find no evidence of this

So you are one of the many Americans who doesn’t understand that borrowing money is spending money and more of it.
