Are the Steelers panicking already?

It took 5 turnovers to barely beat a bad team, yeah a win is a win, but I just can't get excited until we're one of the elite teams again, I lived through the 80's just scraping by knowing you never really had a chance, this is that all over again.

This offense will be in trouble vs. Minn and Flores and the Browns’ D as well. After week 6, if we’re sitting at 3-3 with the remaining schedule, I think this entire thing goes off the rails.

I agree. Wilson looks lost right now. Let’s hope it’s not a trend.
Losing Elandon Roberts for absolutely nothing when the Steelers wanted to be tougher against the run was one of the worst moves of the offseason. Along with his strong run defense, it would've allowed the Steelers to use Wilson in package roles, which can work pretty well with the right mix at ILB.

Seeing what our offense was the last 5 or so seasons "by design" was hard to watch and be excited as a fan. Yeah. We have AAron now and thing have been opened up at times.

On the Defensive side it might even be more frustrating as a fan. Since Dick left we have been running all but the exact D now with little to zero change. Players have come and gone. Rules have changed. The schemes and philosophy have not.

So we have gone from competing for Lombardi's to simply competing for Tomlinship's.

While ownership seems fine with this and some fans. A large portion of fan base want more.

JFC, Austin was asked why Black isn’t playing nose, said he doesn’t want to put too much on his plate even though he “can eat up two blockers”.

This is sheer stubbornness. If Benton is put on skates again today and next week, I want Austin to be fired at the bye. I know it’s Tomlin’s D, but I want his scapegoat out of the way early.
I didn't see the interview or the question, but I'd guess Calvin has a better grasp on the defense than Teryl does.

I dont know about rushing Harmon. Ive been talking about Holcomb tge last two weeks. Skinny looking linebackers dont get it done vs. The Run and Patrick Queen isnt exactly Levon Kirkland.
Harmon is praised in this video,he was hustling and made some good plays.

Every team’s fan-base wants more, it the % of fan-base acceptance that alarms me.

Salute the nation

They are terrible. But, they have been missing at least 3 or 4 starters in both of the last 2 games. So, there is that. And, Harmon in his limited debut looked pretty darn good with a sack and a TFL. He and Heyward at DT with Black at NT is what the DL should shake out to be, and possibly right after the bye.
Right now I rotate Benton and Harmon to ease Harmon into the fold then eventually rotate Benton with Cam and Harmon and hope that Benton can eventually take over for Cam. I do think that Black in the middle is the answer long term.

We hit the field with our eyes wide open and things of that nature, matching our above the neck mentality with below the neck physicality, obviously.

Yep…..it felt like they had to choose between Robert’s and Holcomb no matter what. I actually liked both, but Holcomb was coming off a major injury.

I didn't get that vibe since they went out and signed a run stuffer in free agency.

Our coach's suck. End of debate...............
