I said he should have retired last year and the rebuild should have started too. I think their off season decisions could have been in a different light if they had. That said I'm not going to lie. I enjoyed watching Ben and glad he us going out on his terms and is ready. I'm a huge Ben fan. So all in all happy as a Ben fan, but I do think the sooner you do what needs to be done (including house cleaning coaching staff) the better.

I think he should’ve retired last year. It’s obvious how much he’s regressed.
Yes I enjoyed the wins and success he brought but the b&g blinders off and realistically. This team needs to rebuild asap and a few offseason strategies have been on hold because he returned.

All it takes is one play, one player who has a Burfict mentality to not care if he were to inure someone like Ben. Yeah you want the guy to retire on his own terms, but every play you trot someone as beat, old and banged up as Ben. You run the risk of him seriously get messed up.

Glad he made it out intact. But it is what it is and the less than stellar thing offense and record shows

Im a fan too. But other than the oline giving him no time,,,, i dont understand the throws anymore.

ben goes 24 of 46 for 123 yards.. Najee has big game. Isnt the run game supposed to make the passing game easier?

I thought he should've retired after last season as well only because I didn't think he could play at a high level over the course of a 17-game season. His year went just as I expected with a few moments surrounded by moments where he couldn't achieve at the high level we had been accustomed to. With that said, I'm glad he came back because I love watching him play. Foster gave some insight that he wanted that crowd for games one more time and it made sense. No matter what happened in in Weeks 1-16 or what happens in Week 18, last week was the most perfect ending a player could have outside of winning a championship. It wasn't about how he played at that point, it was his connection with the city and its fans. It was such a cool moment and one we would never had seen if he didn't come back.

Of course I'm glad he returned. I would have much preferred that it was to a great OL and a power running game he started his career with. That didn't happen. On the other side of the ball other than a pass rush, it's been pretty sad to watch.

I'd rather the coaching staff retire with him. Being 10+ years of a middle of the road team with no chance at adding to the trophy case got old a long time ago.

Now the most important position on the team is in limbo. It's hard not to be a negative Nancy when they wasted prime years of a HOF qb and got non losing seasons to show for it. BFD. Playoff memories over the last 10 years that stick out, Denver, Jacksonville and Cleveland.

I read an article about former Ravens players talking about Ben's greatness and his competitiveness.

I also heard that Suggs and a few other former players will be in attendance. Wouldn't it be great (and classy) if the Ravens fans/players/coaches give him a standing ovation at the end. That would be ultimate respect.

That said, **** the Ravens.

Glad he came back. Just think what position we would be in right now if we had drafted Creed Humphrey instead of Muuth. Don't get me wrong, Muth is gonna be great, but the more pressing need was at OL and of course, they went with the weapon. I agree with Steelr4evr, I wish the coaching staff would retire with him.

I was on the fence about him returning at the beginning of the year. That said, I now think it was important to him and the organization that he had his night at his final home game and went out on his terms. If he retired after last season it doesn't happen.

I firmly believe though he didn't play great he was good enough for playoffs with the proper team around. Thing was the proper team was so ****** thin and the oline was so inexperienced that it was really impossible.

Ben aside because that was a decision on my levels. When you read Cowher's book you get the sense they were always doing things for the longterm good of the franchise. This last three or for years has been more like what can we do to get the most wins this season which is very shortsighted ad ends up polishing a Turd.

Said it before and I'll say it again. He shoulda retired last year. We just wasted a year. Could have determined this year if Rudolf was gonna be the guy.
Now we are gonna thru that mess next season. He's gonna be the starter day 1 I bet.

If we had been Super Bowl favorites last year, then yes of course, keep Ben.
Anyone notice that the Ravens are similar to last years Steelers, only worse?...lucky the first part of the season then the real Ravens manifest themselves by a string of losses to close out the year.

There is only one reason I'm glad Ben stayed. He beat the ******* Stains to close out his career.

You're in last year's time world........................ Click your heals three times and repeat these words "Ben come home" three times and if that doesn't work go to the light jiminoh, go to the light.

Now if all that fails........... find a safe spot and wait.. when you see the Gazell fly by, jump on the very next "creature's" back and you will be returned to present day / time zone.

Post here soon so as we know you are in real time.!

Phew! Thanks DIC, I made it back!

I'm glad he came back. He can still make most, if not all of the throws. If our O-line was even close to average, Ben would have looked great this year. If Canada was even mediocre, Ben would have looked great as well. The proof is all in the 3rd and especially 4th quarters when Ben had more freedom and they threw the ball more downfield. The team doesn't just all of a sudden look great for no reason. It was **** **** poor coaching. Tomlin and Canada ruined Ben's last year even with the poor O-line. Throwing those quick passes on 3rd and long that are at or behind the line is just plain ******* stupid. Ben throws to whoever is the player called. There are no progressions from his 1st to 2nd to 3rd option. There is only one option throwing that quick.

Agree.

I remember (not that long ago) when we would have 3rd and 10, 15, and even 20...you knew Ben was going for it.
