ARod and the $200 mil mistake

No way to I tie up that kind of money on an ancient QB. One hit ***** the pack for 3 years. If that money is guaranteed they better fix that Oline.
I read something like $153 mill is guaranteed.

That's 38.5 million per year (4) just in guaranteed money, hell of a cap hit for 38 years old who doesn't seem to get them over the hump.

Well, State Farm seems to think Rodgers is a good salesman, and it's looking like he is since he got his way with GB. And he finally got his "Rodgers Rate."

I thought this too and I hope like hell Action Jackson's contract is this PLUS a lot and for eternity.

Thing about Jackson is his seemingly ambivalent approach to negotiating his deal. The Ravens been trying to get a deal & he’s doesn’t even have an agent. It’s odd

I haven’t looked at it but the most overused & misleading term is fully guaranteed money.

Most players don’t have their next year guaranteed. “Guaranteed” also comes in form of making bonuses at times, like a roster bonus.

But that team is in cap hell and don’t be fooled by his cap number going down. They kicked can down the road

I get that FSF and realize it's not necessarily an average through the years of contract. I just put that number out there to show somewhat of his cap hit.

Once you do get the information of his contract I'd definitely like to see your take on it, Thanks in Advance.!

Yeah, $200,000,000 on a guy declining. Packer fans are like “he won mvp.” Yeah, which makes the mvp as valid as the Nobel peace prize. Off the top of my head I can think of 5 players all way more deserving, Brady, Herbert, Burrow, Allen, and Taylor.

He’s still good don’t get me wrong but he’s definitely on the downward trend. Bedsides Brady no QB has played better at 39 than 38. They might have one more year to make a run then they’re in cap hell with a dead arm QB. Kind of like Manning and Brees their last couple of years.

Agentless players is a growing trend. The Seahawks LB, Bobby Wagner, negotiated his last contract on his own.

Salary can be guaranteed for 1, 2, or 3 years from the contracts I've seen. Kirk Cousins is an example of having his salary fully guaranteed for 2 years. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/minnesota-vikings/kirk-cousins-9915/

Mahomes has 3 years guaranteed on his 10yr contract.

4 years straight with 4000 + yards passing and last year 37 TDs. I can buy he is an age risk or he is overpaid. But the guy is not in decline. He hasn't shown a miniscule sliver of that.

He is more than just, "good".

He is an elite franchise QB.

I can even buy that there was more deserved MVP candidates. Or that he is a jerk.

But outside of the mentions I have to highly disagree.
