We were told all offseason Smith is an offensive genius that was better suited to playcalling than being a (failed) head coach.

Smith has an upgraded O-line
QB's are both huge upgrades over Kenny.

What has he done for the running game he was supposed to "unlock"

Not to mention 30 year old Derrick Henry looks better than he did at 24/ 25 with Arthur Smith.
Tomlin is a big part of the problem but Arthur Smith ain't helping the matter.

Smith is not the decision maker. He is being tasked with making Tomlin’s crappy offensive game plan work, whether he wants to or not. If Smith were the HC AND OC, then it would be a different story. The O that he is Running isn’t the same as the last two stops for him.

Obviously. Smith couldn't sniff 8 wins 3 years straight as a head coach. He has not fixed the Canada offense like we were told he would.

Hey, look, I agree with you on all that. I just don't agree with the idea that Tomlin meddles in the offense or wants a turtle offense.

If they can consistently throw more like they did today, I know they aren't gonna go for 414 every week, but still, the running game will start to look better.

I don't know who to believe when it comes to that. Guys like DK say all the time that Tomlin just wants the OC to do his thing so he doesn't have to worry about it.

Well let's see.....I stated early on this week that we need to come out pass heavy early on.....so I think I will take the credit for this offensive output. Now if Tomlin will only listen to me on the defensive side of the ball.
