He visits later next week. We are the last of 6 to 8 teams he is visiting. Hopefully, someone doesn't sign him before he gets to us.

That exactly what I was implying in the OP.

I mean, I've been in the job market for over 7 months "waiting on the right one".

Would it not make more sense for Samuels to make all 6 visits and then make a decision???

At least you can see what all the offers look like, if any, and compare them instead of making a knee jerk decision...

This. With the way NFL DB's tackle I would want nothing to do with this. Not because he can't play. Maybe he can. Id want nothing to do with what might happen.
 
I read he had a fusion done. I am 55, and my surgeon didn't recommend fusion because I am too young and somewhat active. He said a fusion at my age would be about a 5-year solution, and then I would be back to have the next vertebrae fused. Mine is in the lower back, so that could have something to do with it.

in another thread, Shaft was advised to partake in conch **** to alleviate the "job market" and get off the street corner.

thing is, Asante is probably going to get the same $$ anywhere, give or take a few thousand.

Panthers, Packers, 49ers, Bears, Steelers, Saints are the teams he's visiting.

of those the Panthers and Saints are least likely do develop winning seasons any time soon. But they're also closer to his hometown of Ft Lauderdale. Three other four give him a better opportunity to get closer to a Super Bowl while one will blow sunshine up his *** about how great he is and gloss his pedigree.

Let's see what he has. If we don't win this week, it may not matter. If we lose this game, I start playing young guys and experimenting with Howard. Never play to lose but losing would help in the long run. Particularly with 12 picks.

I would bring up Howard regardless. He was a full practice he doesn’t need to hover on IR.
 
he has pedigree. hopefully he sees more action on Sundays than his dad does.
 
This Franchise is so lost atm....trying to sign anyone and everyone with any possibility of starting on this roster!

You could take the Steel Curtain in their prime and make Teryl Austin & Mike Tomlin their DC's and they would SUCK A$$ T00!

The problems on this team are not personnel related! Sorry! It's COACHING!

He is just on the PS for now.. they got to " on board " him... got to make sure he can play ten yards off his target before he gets a jersey🤣

It doesn't matter who they sign. I think it's worth giving him a chance however the main problem with this team is not player talent. It's coaching!

It will never get any better until Mike Tomlin is no longer part of this organization!

The guy had Generational Talent that most Head Coaches can only dream about and he couldn't win a Championship since 2008.

You think now in 2025 by some miracle he's going to be able to deliver?
