99% of the time the little cheats like underinflating balls aren't going to be a benefit, but in a game of inches, when any one play can be the difference, a team that does a dozen or more little things that bend or outright break the rules only need one to pay off to make it worthwhile...

So, in MLB, if a pitcher 'doctors' a ball or uses foreign substances, they get suspended at least 8-games. Yeah, they're probably going to appeal, but I doubt it'll get reduced.
I wish that the NFL would handle the Brady/Patriots the same way. It's cheating no matter which way you slice it period. I know it's MLB vs NFL..but cheating is cheating.

8 games... basically 2 starts... like I said, 4 games is actually pretty fair for the crime... same as a steroid user

problem is that 8 games is peanuts compared to how long a MLB season lasts. But the same way I think affecting an NFL game with such a short season deserves a bigger punishment as it means that you are cheating on 1/16th of a season, one more win means a hell of a lot more than doing it for an MLB team.

Point taken Litos, but the thing I'm getting is that at least MLB is addressing the issue and not pussyfooting around it. It seems like it anyways.

yeap, it's good that they have defined rules for most illegal things that could happen. The NFL is just a "spin-the-wheel" and get a punishment
