Be Honest with yourself

Hey, c'mon everyone. Gosh, golly, gee. Tomlin is a good friend to the players. I mean, why should they have to be disciplined. Can't we all just put on the black and gold and not try. I didn't know i'd actually have to coach. SportCenter said we'd win. C'mon. I thought if I let the entire team gain an extra 20lbs, not draft any meaningful, impact players and allow my QB and RB to get hit behind the line of scrimmage more than converting 3rd downs we'd have a recipe for success. What? that doesn't work. Well "f" it, let's just lead the league in penalties then.

The kid that was hosting the post game show on 93.7 said Seattle and Baltimore where the two most penalized teams in the last two years respectively (the years they won the SB) is that true?

Yea but they had talent and coaching....we dont.

Regardless of the loss today, does anyone really think this team is going anywhere this year? This team has one of the worst defenses I've seen in Pittsburgh in years, the offense is very inconsistent and the coaching is downright pathetic with adjustments. I think it's time to start seeing what Shamarko has, if that means Troy sitting on the bench, then so be it. I think the best option for this team is lose and lose often this year, that will give us a early draft pick where we HAVE TO select a CB, followed by another CB in the 2nd round. Losing this year should also increase the likelihood that Tomlin will be shown the door and Lebeau will follow. I actually like Tomlin, I think he seems like a cool guy, he's just not a good HC. I've been a supporter of his up until this year and it's starting to really show that he just doesn't have what it takes. As far as Lebeau, I love the man. He's a legend, but his time has come to hang it up and we need a fresh design. The players also have to take accountability and hopefully the young guys continue to improve this year and the offseason. Bottom line is, this team is going nowhere and losing isn't exactly the worst thing right now, in terms of setting a brighter future.

WE HAVE A BINGO!!!!!!!!! Feel exactly the same. 2-14 here we come. 1st to 2nd rd draft pick, we would probably **** that up to though. (minus the Tomlin thing though, this guy had his chance, all Tomlin haters out there were right. I just never saw it that way till now)

People are talking about letting go of Colbert too, but know this...his replacement is already in the building.
Dan Rooney Jr. (son of Dan, brother to ARII) is the Player Personnel Coordinator, word is he is next in line (being trained for the job) if/when they ever have to make a move at GM.
That's why every off season Omar K accepts interviews with other teams for their open GM spots, he has to know (maybe has even been told) that the Steelers are keeping it in the family.

That's the problem the sch sucks so bad that BEN alone can win us 6 to 8 games. That's whats been keeping Tomlin around as it is

It's possible. Tomlin acknowledges the lack of discipline for the penalties and takes full responsibility. Fix that and we win last night.

The D should improve throughout the season just by playing - unless we are decimated with even more injures.

The O has the potential to light things up. We have seen it. But, Tomlin and Haley need to understand (as I have said countless times) we need to play to OUR strengths and not to our opponents perceived weakness. We come out gunning and looking to score every time. We don't start a game with Ben under the center and go run, run, pass hoping to establish the run. We start in the shot gun, no huddle and go from their. No huddle and Ben in the shot gun is our normal set. We mix in some of the regular stuff but not the other way around. We can run the ball but not when we NEED to run the ball. That was very evident on the last series yesterday when we needed a first down. Sure we had a penalty but we should have come out with Ben in the shot gun, no huddle and Bell standing right next to Ben. We are a pass first team and need to utilize that until we are stopped. I know we want to tick the clock down but everyone on here knows we had little chance of running in that situation to get at least one first down. We should have come out firing short passes like the good QB's do (Manning, Brees, Brady, etc.). Even if we would have gotten a quick first down and then still had to punt, it would have given them much worse field position. That was stupid play calling and is all on Haley and Tomlin.

The O spotting Tampa 10 points to start the game didn't help things either. But, we still should have won the game easily.
