Got the panthers first this year and next year and a second this year and a second in 25 plus DJ Moore..all to move down 9 spots…
And that was honestly a bit less than expected…

Championship!!that is awesome for the Bears. they could be relevant this year
Yeah the problem was there are four guys but not a real consensus so teams are willing to wait and see…some where wondering if they could trade down with the texans one spot and then trade down again with whoever wants the 2nd QB, but probably the texans told them to **** off and they could live with any of the top 2
I think there's about 60 points draft value in the Bears' favor (which means squat) with the 53rd and 61st second round picks vs the Steelers 32 pick. It's an interesting proposal. There's going to be some real value in the second half of the second round regarding IOL and run stuffing DL not to mention a WR and ILB or two. If we get a good corner in round one with all the top tier OTs gone I'd consider it. Four picks with three in round two on day two.Yeah the problem was there are four guys but not a real consensus so teams are willing to wait and see…
Also the two second round picks the bears now have this year are about the value they would need to trade us for number 32 lol… that actually could happen…

Great move for the Bears, especially without a true stud QB at the top of the draft. All four guys have faults--I would guess Carolina would be leaning Stroud. If Fields struggles, the Bears will be in very good position to make a push to trade up for Caleb Williams.
that was my first thought. This gives them 1 more year to see about Fields and if he doesn't develop, you have ammo to go get Caleb Williams. Fields is tough to judge right now. The Bears had no weapons last year. Mooney was decent but got injured. They were so desperate they traded for Claypool and then he was hurt.
Carolina had a good amount of draft capital from the McCaffery trade to pull this off and limit the draft damage.
And Fields is the happiest man in the league because of it!
Experts keep saying there are 4 guys but I only see 2 in their batch of top guysYeah the problem was there are four guys but not a real consensus so teams are willing to wait and see…

They’ve failed in so many ways to get a QB and probably felt everyone would be gone so they’ll get the guy they want.So why give it up? Rebuild you team. Keep you draft capital. Who ever they pick #1 overall is no slam dunk at QB. There is no such man this year, there appears to be next year.
Really? I’d wait until next year to decide that. Carolina might have overpaid being that they will be a 7-9 team ostensibly trying to groom a rookie QB. That scenario could very well result in them sending the Bears a top 5 or 10 pick next year.Bears should of waited this thing out...That deal looks light to me...
They have the pick of the cream of the crop of any player they want, Carolina done good
Rumor is it’s Stroud they’re targeting. Watch they use the pick on Richardson - a player who might have been there at 9.Bryce Young is going to be a Panther…
Yes, if that 2024 first round pick ends up being a top 5 the bears won the trade. That is the risk of trading away future first round picks. The value charts say the last pick of the round because you don't know what it actually will be. Look at the Claypook pick. The Bears were a middle of the round pick at that point. Now it is the first overall second round pick. We definitely won that trade. And here is my thoughts. The bears are giving Fields at least one more year to prove himself so Stroud, Young, Levis, Richardson aren't in play. Jalen Carter was probably the top guy on their board and he just dropped himself presumably out of the top 10. If they do their homework and really figure out what might happen with Carter legal situation they probably still can get him at #9 now. Between DJ Moore, Mooney, and Claypool are set now at WR. If Fields doesn't look to be the guy they will have 2 shots at the #1 overall pick in 2024 with theirs and Carolina's first round pick. And if neither of them are the first overall pick, they still will have the ammo to trade into the #1 overall pick with having two likely top 10 picks and could snag Drake Maye who would easily be the best QB in this draft if he was eligible.Really? I’d wait until next year to decide that. Carolina might have overpaid being that they will be a 7-9 team ostensibly trying to groom a rookie QB. That scenario could very well result in them sending the Bears a top 5 or 10 pick next year.
agreed. no such man this year. unlike last year with KPSo why give it up? Rebuild you team. Keep you draft capital. Who ever they pick #1 overall is no slam dunk at QB. There is no such man this year, there appears to be next year.
