Bell suspended

15 million... ya right. Wonder what the Tomlin backers are going to say now. We need to fire Tomlin and cut Bryant, Bell, Pouncey, and any other thug on this ******* team and clean house! I don't care if it costs us a shot at the bowl I don't want to cheer for a bunch of degenerative fucktards.

If true on this one you are correct Coach he is a ******* idiot.

What the hell does Tomlin have to do with Bell being a asshat???

The Steelers may have to start the season without running back Le’Veon Bell.

Bell is facing a four-game suspension for a missed drug test, Dan Graziano of ESPN reports.

Under the NFL’s substance-abuse policy, players can be disciplined not only if they test positive, but also if they do not make themselves available for a test.

Bell has had limited success appealing a suspension once before: He was initially suspended for the first three games of last season for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy after he was arrested for marijuana possession and DUI, but he appealed and got that suspension reduced to two games.

If Bell doesn’t win this appeal, he’ll miss the first four games of this season, against Washington, Cincinnati, Philadelphia and Kansas City. With Bell out, the Steelers would rely on backup running backs DeAngelo Williams and Fitzgerald Toussaint.

The Steelers have already lost one important offensive player to the substance-abuse policy, as receiver Martavis Bryant is suspended for the entire season.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell is facing a four-game suspension for violation of the NFL's drug policy, sources told ESPN's Dan Graziano.

The suspension is the result of a missed drug test, not a failed one, sources said. The reason it hasn't yet been announced is that the appeal process is still going on.

No date for Bell's appeal has been set, though it's expected that it will be heard before the start of the regular season. If it's not overturned, he would miss the first four games of the season.

Bell was suspended for the first three games of 2015, which was later reduced to two games, for a violation of the policy on substances of abuse after he was arrested for marijuana possession and DUI in the summer of 2014.

He's the ******* coach! If he'd have dealt with this **** properly the first time there wouldn't be a second, third, fourth, 80th ******* time.

And please enlighten me what would be the proper way to deal with this

Will wait to hear details, but if he skipped it because he would have failed it, we really need to move on and focus our big money and energy on someone we can count on. It's looking like we are really good at finding and investing in high risk talent and it is killing us.

I guess we should hear his side before we hang him. But for ***** sake, what the hell is going on with these guys. I mean,I am sure at least 50% smoke the ganja. But man.

You really are an out of touch dope if you actually believe this.

There's many ways. I, personally, would have suspended Bell for 2 games without pay after his bs last year with the warning if he didn't follow the rules to the T he'd be cut. Maybe when they found out about Bryant's suspension this year cut his *** and use him as a sacrificial lamb and example for the rest of the team. But I know this sitting back and watching this disaster happen is not being a coach it is being a moron.

.He knew his career depended on taking those tests. Unless he was in some sort of accident I say cut him now.

I know its too early and the details are not all out but can he be traded? At least get something out of it before he leaves when we do not re-sign him

You do know the players have a union right?

Ok, you Tomlin dick lickers let me ask you this. What is the difference between the Steelers and the Bengals? We like to talk about the Bengals and Marvin Lewis drafting thugs and punks with talent. Well, isn't this getting a little pot calling the kettle black?

That's racist.

Bell just sucker punched his team in the gut and the fans are feeling it too.

My thoughts were Bell's embracing the hip hop culture provided with his past history was a dangerous combination.

I was thinking this was an 11-5 to 12-4 type to team prior to Bryant and Bell's problems. Now it's on Williams, who I felt played almost as well last season.

The thing I just can't understand is Bell was going to make serious money. 12-15 million a year. For 3-5 years. All he had to do was pass drug tests. But he values the drugs over the money and his teammates.

Sad but true.

I hate the Steelers anymore. This garbage is so out of control.

It's funny, I don't look forward to the start of the regular season anymore.

Injuries or screw ups derail this team every year and it's just not that much fun anymore to be a fan of theirs.

Unbelievable! These guys have some defect or something missing from their brain. Your team is LOADED and primed for a super bowl run. You are a vital part of that run. You are about to cash in on a HUGH contract.

And you put yourself in this position? You MISS a mandatory test!

MORON!

The difference in what's happening is things that happened on the field can be controlled . Marvin Lewis can sit a player for something that happens on the field. Bryant and Bell smoking happens off the field. Stuff that happens off the is controlled by the NFL. That's the difference. I won't get into the whole only thugs smoke stupid *** argument

This came out a few weeks ago and Bell adamantly denied missing a test. Most downplayed the source that previously broke this. Now, ESPN is on it. I guess we shall see. Hopefully, it is false and is thrown out in the review process. If not, no way I offer him more than $8 million per year. Maybe some performance incentives on top of that. He and Bryant both may be gone in a year or two. These athletes are just idiots.

Coach for the millionth time please stop equating hip hop with smoking.. bell smoked cause he wanted too had nothing to do with the Hip Hop culture. Asfar him being a idiot I totally agree.

If anything this lowers his contract demands and gives his knee more time to heal. And when he comes back I don't immediately give him back his job. Tomlin can control that.
