obviously the kid is lying

Ben is way to upset to do anything to help the kid

Uh? So, Ben calls Kenny to offer his support/guidance and somehow this is proof of there not being bad blood between Ben and Dopey/Colbert/Rooney?

Yeah. Talk about reading into things and peddling bul.lshit from there.

Ben is simply a good guy. Doesn't mean he doesn't feel like the organization push him out the door before he was ready to go. Why is it so hard for some to think Ben would have hung around for a few more years if the organization would have let him?. In the end the Steelers thought it was time to move on from him....whether it was right or wrong. That was their choice/decision.

Again, if Ben didn’t want to retire, that’s sad and he needed to be pushed out the door.

If you’re a fan and wish he was still the Steelers QB, that’s sad and you need to get over it.

Oh. I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way. If you want to discuss it further via PM, let me know?

Uh? Is there any chance that whatever it is that you do for a living involves breathing in dangerous chemicals? Ben's willingness to offer guidance to his predecessor is NOT proof that there isn't discord with Ben and the Steelers brass. What you're offering is called 'conjecture'. "Because THIS happened THIS must be the case".

It may be a fact that Ben reached out to Kenny, but it sure as hell isn't proof that Ben is happy with former management otherwise. What's a fact is that Ben STATED that his former coach and GM didn't want him back. It's funny how you keep glossing over this reality, yet try to use a random phone call to the new QB as proof that all is swell in Steeler land.

A cow says moo .. A sheep says BAH!

when you go away for a bit, you come back kinda funny for the 1st month or so. then you get all crazy like AZ. have you ever considered just joining as a regular poster and actually contributing to the board? you are clearly intelligent and I almost think you might be a Steeler fan.

Class move by Ben.I am warming up to Pickett. He is a great young man and hopefully he translates his work ethic to the field.

I agree and hope like hell Pickett turns a lot of heads by his play on the field, he is a STEELERS player.

I didn't want QB in the draft but like I've said once they are on the STEELERS team then I stand by them.

I agree. I hated the pick but Pickett seems to be a great guy a leader and someone who just might overcome the coaching of Tomlin and company. Rooting for him and hope I was wrong on my unbridled hate following the pick.

Something smells like Cleveland....

Ben reached out and asked Picket if he was interested in visiting him at his home. His 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath home with new roof, updated plumbing, in a safe neighborhood with good schools in walking distance to shopping. Drop by anytime between 12-3 this Sunday and you will find the house open. Ample off street parking.

Yep just like Harris last year… disliked the pick, love the player

If you want to see bad blood from a Steelers QB, see Terry Bradshaw for years and years before he finally let it go. Bradshaw would not have called his successor to wish him good luck or offer him help and advice. So Ballz please STFU, and if you want my citation bend over and start looking there

We all know these qbs would play forever if you let them and Steelers could have done more for the Ben and the Super Bowl vets, if they hadn’t drafted so GDamned poorly, coulda, woulda, shoulda, been a couple more Super Bowl appearances in there somewhere… and if this team was “built“ and coached well he probably could be out there right now, makes sense, giving kenny a year to mature would help him… poor coaching sank this team last year game after game… they keep blaming Ben’s mobility but that’s bs with Ben calling the plays in a no huddle the offense marched. Ben had a good feel for what the offensive line could do, mixing the pass with enough runs to keep defenses honest getting the offense down to the redzone where he looked for muth. Canada called an offense like a wild man scattering ****! But Im glad Ben went out with some class he got the send off he and the fans deserved. He showed the young guys how to play with their guts hanging out lol leading some big comebacks, but it’s time to move on. we’ll see what Canada does this year the schedule will put this coaching staff to the test, believe me. I have real doubts about the coaches but I like the team that colberts put together, but in end, the games played on grass not paper! GoSteelers!!
