FOlks here chewed on Sanders saying he was a scrub.....change of scenery with a much better quarterback and NOW....look at him...NOW LOOK AT HIM. He said what he said pre-season about comparing Peyton w Ben w validity. I wonder if Ben puts in the filmroom work and study that Peyton does. Peyton elevated Emmanuels play.

I can't imagine that anyone is surprised that Sanders is putting up good stats with Manning. He would have done the same if the Steelers let him go to New England. Still wouldn't want him back.
You could lock him up in the film room, it will not make a difference. He has never developed the little skills of QBing. at this point, he will not. Trade him for picks, if you can get anything. You won't, though. Other teams see the same thing.
That's why you can't give Ben 20-25 million. ****, Brian Hoyer played so much better than him today. Hell, they can go 6-10 with Gradkowski or somebody. They don't need Ben to do that.
I dunno bet Arizona would give a pretty penny for him.
My buddy says that, too. Maybe. I think that would be their shot if they traded him.
Hey look, I think the guy was great. Thank you Ben for the great football. But it is over. Till they build a team around him, he will be 35 or older. And, they will have a much harder time building anything with a salary drain of 20-25 million. It is a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

Ben has missed a lot of passes this year. Either it's timing or just missing the throw, it just seems like he ain't getting any better as he ages.

I like Ben, but is he really a dominant QB? Whenever we have had great teams the defense was great. When has Ben consistently put up big points?

there is not only one aspect of this team where you can point fingers to. Until garbage time, we scored 3 points. Clev put up 31 on our D and it wasn't too hard. Besides Hoyer, Tate, Kruger and Austin, who do they have? They manhandled us in all facets of the game. I agree with, if you can trade Ben, you send Tomlin packing and get someone in here with a clear vision like a Chip Kelly or Pete Carroll to go through this team with a fine-tooth comb. This is not an easy fix and the way it's currently going, it's going to be a lot harder the further this team falls. Troy will be gone, as well as Harrison. Keisel will, too. Ben is due for a big raise, Worlids is also due for one. You can't keep bringing the old guys back to save your ***** for injuries and lack of depth. It has to stop sometime.
There's a lot of football left to play this season to be having this discussion, but I see 2, maybe 3 wins remaining. I don't see any improvement on the horizon this year to be optimistic that they turn it around like last season. I will let the season play out further, but there's only so many times you keep repainting that old, rusty garbage can before you invest into a new one.

Another Hershel Walker type deal, rebuild for the future.I only let Ben go if there is a deal inplace to dump the COMPLETE coaching staff. No way I get rid of Ben and let Capt. Cliche waste those picks/players too.

Sorry but Carson Palmer is running his offense better than Ben can, Ben is not going to Arizona.

Bruce has a QB now...one thats playin better than Ben. Why would they jettison Palmer over Ben right now.....?
They might get new coordinators but Ben and MT will both be here next year.
Ben would still have trade value to a team that is missing a good qb but has most of the other spots covered. I doubt we could put together a decent team before he retires. Tomlin goes. We may have a good HC on the team already, Haley, or Munchak. DL retires. To replace the things on the team that need replaced we will need lots of high draft picks. Put a seventh round draft pick in at qb loose every game with out trying to, with a new coach we make some good picks, keep mr seventh rounder in there for another year pick his replacement, keep him in his third year and have a 48 game loosing streak and then pick your qb and put him behind a good line with good wrs and rbs and we will have a good team.9 real good players should help turn the team around.

maybe because the browns have a coach that has a clue. there is no flow to our offense, we ran the ball a **** load early and still rarely if ever used the play fake, hell cleveland runs damn near a play fake every pass.

I'm hoping neither are here next year, and expanding it Haley as well. The defiance the three of them exert is irritating. They do it their way, whenever the hell they want, and it's detrimental to the team.
On a completely different note: My favorite was watching the Browns run a boot leg 4 or 5 times over the last 2 games and watching the entire defense bite on the run every. single. time. Brian had so much green in front of him after rolling out that he could have ran it himself for over 15 yards each time he did it. But why would he need to, since he always had wide open receivers to throw to as the DBs sold out to the run as well and left their man.
