Was Ben Roethlisberger over / under paid throughout his tenure here. What would be the value of a HOF franchise QB durring his time here.

I think he was fair market value, maybe slightly underpaid due to Millageville but still market value.

Some here will say way over valued and anyone could have done what he did.

I also think had he Mid-career switched teams he would have made even more money.

I also think if Coach Cowher stayed 4 more years BEN's income would have soared dramatically.

Thoughts?

Brady. 302,962,392 over 22 seasons. Averages out-13,771,017

Drew 269,710,422. 20 seasons =13,485,521

Big Ben 267,286,864. 18 seasons =14,849,270.

Aaron 263,608,010. 17 seasons =15,506,353

Rivers,the Manning brothers were up there but as now these are the top 4 for all time. Obviously Aaron’s new contract will put him over. But this I see as of 2021 which is fair.

So if anything it’s about Super Bowls. Brady is vastly underpaid ( I know,I know what’s coming)🥵
I’d say Ben is pretty well where he should be. Don’t forget. It’s not just Tomlin that hasn’t won a playoff game in how many years? It was also Ben with many subpar performances in the playoffs. Truth.

Ben was paid exactly as much as he earned...
If he wanted to get more, he could have gotten more elsewhere, look at Kirk Cousins in Minnesota...
If the Steelers wanted to pay him less, if he wanted to play in Pittsburgh, he would have taken less....

You can't use Brady as a comparison because he was funneled money off the books. Did that affect his overall pay ??? possibly

No, DIC asked if Steeler fans thought Ben was underpaid or overpaid and Steelmann went to the trouble of calculating how much Brady and Brees were paid for comparison.

It absolutely can be quantified... Does the QUANTITY of what you earned equal the QUANTITY of what Ben earned??
It cannot be QUALIFIED... What you earned may have provided you with the most adequate quality of life in the whole trailer park...
Likewise, Ben could have been the saddest boy in the whole gated community....
 
He isn't going to eat oodles of noodles in his lifetime unless he wants to. in my opinion every single owner, coach and player is overpaid. They play a game. yes it is a physical game with alot of injury. But it is a game.
take some of this money and pay our teachers better.

in answer to the question Ben got paid well for many many years. he made what he should have made
