You clearly put the blame on BB and canada. But said MT needs to make some changes. We’ve gone through a slew of offensive coordinators including guys who went on to win super bowls. We’ve gone a season without BB and no passing game to speak of. The one thing that’s remained the same is MT. Lets maybe try a new HC.

All of the put the backup qb in folks will get their wish soon enough. Ben will be a busted qb shortly.This OL couldn't keep an angry girl scout troop at bay..


When the Steelers are mathematically out of it, then you can put your backup qb in. If he doesn't break before then..

Do we have a backup HC? I'd like to try one out, just for fun. Gets old watching the same bs every year.

WE make a deal that he does not throw long, really how many of these receivers are open when they do make the call. With this group receivers we witnessed week after week last year and this every ball is 50 50 ball. Ben is not making the calls Canada is, if Ben cannot do it then it is up to Tomlin to make a change. Ben happens to be the only plyer to step up and take the blame. Hard t o get any rhythm when this line either cannot stop the rush or has flag thrown. Ben has been knocked to the ground 25 times. He has tried to hold on the ball and yet these receivers and line has not done there job. I agree Ben is getting older maybe he does not have what he did, but the team itself has done nothing to help any of it. Lets go defense how many times this great defense allows third and long and ends up offense has to start inside ten yard line. Two out of three games give up touchdown when we finally get back into the game. Yea it is all on Ben,.

Well, no. Clearly if they put Mason or Haskins in they'll reel off 11 in a row. I assume that's the argument here.

As long as you're willing to go on record guaranteeing an 11 game winning streak with Rudolph or Haskins, I'll back you. If you aren't ready to commit to utter offensive dominance with the young superstars, I guess I'd stick with the guy who is in the top 10 all time across pretty much every single QB stat.

With this line I can pretty much guarantee that there will be an 11 game streak with either Rudolph or Haskins, but ya, this is all on Ben, PERIOD! :rolleyes:
 
Did anybody REALLY think that Matt Canada was an elite OC coming here? His system didn't work at LSU and was only successful for about a season at Pitt when they upset Clemson.

The organization needs to make a change at the top.

Well, obviously... Ben is forcing Najee to adjust to his wildly inaccurate and late handoffs. Ben's inability to "read" the handoff is really ******* with Najee's breaks at the... Uh,
 
To many here blaming one player and ignoring the glaring deficiency in other areas. I still bring up the fact the play calling, the lack of physicality, lack of tackling allowing extra yards or TD's No discipline shows in bad routes dropped balls, false starts, more energy running to end zone because you finally made a play, look at the penalties. lack of coaching stupid calls on fourth down, once more lack of bringing coaches to the Steelers that can teach the position,, line coach, receiver coach, secondary coach , NO LEADERSHIP . Yes easy to pick Ben he is the main guy out there and he does take reasonability. You in all reality have to look at this organization, we continue to see the same play and lack of play we have seen for the last five years, yes the record shows one thing but ignores the complete collapse at end of year and a head coach that gets out coached way to many times if we do get in playoffs. Would be nice to see Tomlin actually try to rattle chains send someone packing bench ones continuing to have penalties, or the drop balls or lack of coverage anything to show enough is enough

True...but maybe the play of others factor into how his play plays out....maybe?
 
I think Ben threw that horrendous pic because he was tired of getting hit. He was ready to lay some wood. You may not know it yet, but I'm about to f(*& you up. Then he blows the tackle.

Lol. Ben's bout to go OFF on a *****!

There was a stat from the article that pointed out that so far this season Roethlisberger has been pressured or sacked on 30% of the time. Factor in that the team generally hands off anywhere from 30 to 40% of the time and that means Ben is basically running for his life every other pass. And that's DESPITE the fact that he gets the ball out normally in under 3 seconds.

There are very serious problems with the offense, folks.

EDIT, even if the point of the article stat was that he is pressured 1/3 of the time he drops back to pass, that's still 1 in 3 passes that are basically blown up before the play even starts.
 
I'm not scapegoating Ben. In fact I'm not even blaming him. However, choices were made about bringing him back in the current landscape and reality of this team which was really repackaging the same horse **** from last year. I don't think you needed to be an experienced front office nfl person to envision this team would ride as far as the oline and depth would take it. Many of us started saying that by April. It's game three and it's already clear this team is hopeless because of both.
 
Why anyone would want to throw the backup guys behind that awful line is beyond me.
 
I just wanted to write that today's nfl sucks. Yes, people get hurt and that sucks. The absurd offensively friendly rules piss me off.
 
They have to play some smash mouth and run fullback some till this line gets its feet under itself. We are simply trying to sprint and we can’t. we have to go back to black and blue run game for 4 or 5 games we are too young… I remember Noll getting ran off the field one year everyone calling for his head and he stuck to his guns and we made the playoffs. Canada sucks… both the OC and the country. Head coach needs step in and actually do some coaching these young guys like coach Noll did and these guys will be ok… run watt power trap and keep running till they can run something else… teams might have problems stopping this group running power traps there is a lot of energy in Moore, Dotson, green, and watt… give them some plays they can sink their teeth in…
