The 2 tackles 2 standing outside linebacker front just suks ****. Can't the coaches watch the film and see we have no ability to rush the passer or stop the run... I mean what are they watching???

No push in the middle. Get Cam Thomas in at NT with big Dan behind him getting his share of reps.

Maybe Keisel can teach these schmoes we have on the DL how to actually play football and not get knocked back on their ***** every play. They are pitiful.

If I was Cleveland I'd just run screens or runs up the gut every play, this Steelers defense obviously has never seen a screen pass and can't stop runs up the middle.

I put it on coaching... Put Mac and Thomas at tackle iron head 2 and tuitt at ends... Worlds at strong side Tim's in the middle shazier at weak... Bring Troy up into the box at the hero back... That's eight men in the box... Now dare anyone to run or pass against that. That's the old "steelcurtain" defense and it's exactly what the shihawks play pretty damn well. It's time to step up and smack ppl again.

The old Steeler Curtain defense (really the DL) was stacked with talent. If Mac is getting pushed back like a 5th grader on ice then the scheme is irrelevant. If Worilds can't beat his man one on one then it doesn't matter where he lines up.

we need a nickname for this mighty soft Steelers defense

I propose "The Muffin Men"

The Eagles were taking quick drops and throwing 15 yard passes to wide open TEs. We can't get our WRs or TEs wide open no matter how long Ben buys time. That is play design and coaching.

LOL... Maybe you should start a poll on the subject.

That is Wheaton sucking

they gave him every chance to look good and he couldn't get open to save his life and whiffed on everything thrown his way till late when their 3rd string defense came in

Move Bryant up

You have to admit that many of those were errant throws.

Wheaton could not get separation and Ben looked horrific (even with Ok pass protection).

I am confident we will lean more on the run game during the regular season- which will open up the passing game

Manny Sanders would catch those - because he would know how to get separation and give Ben a spot to throw the ball

maybe I should draft Heath as my TE - I bet he's gonna get 50% of our throws after AB - Ben won't dick around with WR's that can't get open when the season starts

Which is why you draft a great NT in the first round, not DEs. Steed, Hampton, and ?????

I think this is a funny statement considering how vehement the board was against drafting a player that would only be on the field for 30% of snaps in the first round.

But just imagine how gawd awful Hampton would have looked last night against the Eagles?

They were running a play at like 17 seconds a clip. Big Snack would quite have literally fainted during at least one of those drives

You completely take away the run, rush the passer, and get off the field. Sure beats letting the other team run up and down the field.
