I just can’t see it. Told you guys he was too slow for the NFL.

Yes he will. He's a lock. You're deluding yourself.

They're not cutting him. If they do, I'd be shocked. You have to give him a chance to develop. He won't even stick on the PS. Someone will grab him instantly.

First off it's Benny Snell, only a troll would show that kind of disrespect for a STEELERS player. Yea, you were here spewing your bullshit but never did answer my question about your CHEATRIOTS . Here's another one for yaz,..... Will Josh Gordon complete a full season barring injury???? Another, How come t*mmyb*y gets to make money off of his team sending players to his facility as a team facility and yet doesn't have to have claim towards salary cap?

I'll bet you're the fun one at the party.

They didn't draft him for his speed.

From what I've seen in the preseason games he goes down faster than i expected.

I don't care if he averages 2 or 3 ypc if tjey are all gained on 3rd and 2.

I seem to remember back in the day that Jerome Bettis would go down after two or 3 yards quite a bit early in the game as well by the end of the game they were sick of trying to tackle him and he would start breaking some runs and running people over. I think that’s what you would see with Benny if he is given a chance to carry the load he’s just gonna wear people down. I think we even start to see that a little bit in the preseason when he was given enough carries.

He has not made the team yet, but Likely will. With Conner and Samuels in their prime spending a 4th round pick on a slow back made little sense.

Might the pick have been better spent at Tight End or DB?

Coach, it might be easier on us and you if you would list the things the STEELERS did right, in your opinion................ After about three or four posts, you'd be silent.............................

best I can tell, the next TE taken has 1 catch for 8 yards in the preseason and the next 3 CB have a total of 1 tackle, 0 PDs and 0 ints.

I’ve been underwhelmed

I have to, but let's give this guy a few more games to hopefully overwhelm us. One thing I do like is his pass protection ability, soft hands & knack for securing that ball tight.

Conner & Samuels are more home run hitters and gadget type of guys, there's nothing wrong with getting a bruiser workhorse into the rotation to help punish/deflate defenses in the second half. Give him a little time before totally writing him off.

What to make of Benny Snell’s below-average time in the 40-yard dash

Snell ran an unofficial time of 4.65 seconds in his first 40 attempt, tied for the third-slowest time among all running backs who participated in the drill on Friday. It’s also more than a 10th of a second slower than the average speed run by last year’s top NFL rushers.

James Conner — a 6-foot-1, 233-pound star out of Pittsburgh — was the only top-20 rusher last season who ran a 4.65 or worse at the combine. He was drafted in the third round of the 2017 Draft by the Steelers and was thrust into a starting role last season due to Le’Veon Bell’s absence from the team.

Is Connors 4.65 faster than Snells 4.65 the reason Connor is Pro material?

Snell's production has disappointed, but there is no chance they cut him. He'll realize what the NFL is all about and has a year to get into pro shape. It happened with Bell, Conner, and I think we are seeing a pretty big step with Samuels as well.

Samuels looks like he's going to be a stud. I'm pretty excited to see what they have in store for this guy.

You can't judge Snell on speed. He's a power back. I said it in the draft thread and I'll say it again... he's the guy you bring in to seal a game and run the clock out when you are ahead. The problem I see is that the Steelers drafted him for that but will they use him for that? I've been a little surprised at how easily he goes down. But he's still new to the competition. I would be shocked if he were cut so soon.

Fake news.

I only opened the thread to make aBenny Hill Joke. But then I realized it wasn’t that funny and I’m 78% loaded.

I’ll sleep it off and regroup in the morning.
Don't make us smack you on your bald head. (Yinz have to have watched the show to understand the underlying joke)
