Benny snail won’t make the team

He’s a grinder type. Whyte is more explosive and Samuels the better pass catcher.

I want to see them give Whyte alot more opportunity, He looks like the highest upside RB on the roster.
We know who Samuels and Snell are. mediocre, And Conner is just trash

Our OC needs to be less predictable. When there is 8+ in the box, it is hard for anyone currently on the roster, to RUN. Benny is NOT gaining his yards by running around the end and up the GUT consistantly the D knows what's coming. Why can't we get a little more unpredictable and why not very many 2RB sets w/motion??? What happened to TEs and catching????

The "O" did a great job even though they wore handcuffs.

Salute the nation

Defenses put personnel and formations on the field in reaction to what the offense does. The moment they see 2 RB's in the game or an extra OT, for example, they are very likely going to counter by dropping the SS into the box. In some cases, when the defense sees certain players form the offense take the field, they instantly swap out. This is all part of game planning and defensive design. The point is, that being unpredictable isn't as easy as just mixing up people. The other team has watched the film and knows your tendencies and capabilities with those packages...all part of game planning. Sometimes, you just have to execute the play called.

What drives me nuts is the run-run-pass sequences we seem to love so much. I don't think we toss it enough on first and second down. We did that a lot with Ben too, so it isn't a QB thing.

As to TE's...when I watched MR, I felt like either the team or he didn't like to throw over the middle. It seemed like most of his throws were outside the hash marks. I emphasize *seemed* because I didn't actually do a throw chart. Anyway, a lot of TE routes are in the middle where the most congestion is. It just seemed like the strategy was to use TE's to block and keep the throws to the outside. With MR that is. With Duck, it looks like he sees the field better and isn't afraid to make the throws. Hopefully that will open up what the coaches will call and we see a bit more TE targets (assuming Vance is healthy).

The "O" did what it had to do. It is going to have to get better though and I think it will. I don't know that they will get to the point they can win a road playoff game against a team like KC, but then again, you never know in the playoffs.

How could a reasonable fan come to any other conclusion?
The guy is always hurt, has 2 out of 8 games with over 50 yards rushing this season, and fumbled a game away on his own.
The offense is clearly better without him.

because we are not ******* idiots.

He is easily better than any RB on the team. He is a legit threat inside or outside and catching the ball out of the backfield.

Whyte has better speed but is not going to gain you the tough yards when necessary
