How was it?Your right just complained about signing backups?

I’m of the belief Tomlin was making unilateral decisions while Khan was GM, or at least Khan was carrying out Tomlin’s wishes. I think drafting Najee and Pickett was Tomlin’s decision first and foremost for exampleI can't imagine a coach like MM allowing the GM to make unilateral decisions. That just doesn't sit right.
A young rookie head coach? Probably. Maybe. A guy like MM? I just can't see it.
Yep. Signing 3 back up role players BEFORE the starter. To big money to boot.Your right just complained about signing backups?

I’d hope MM and Khan and working as partners now. At some point Khan needs to have a hand in making roster decisions and not just manage the cap
probably that's how it currently goesI think Andy Weidl and the Kahn should be Co-GMs.
Andy handles the personnel decisions and Kahn handles the contract / cap / money side.
It can overlap as they would be a team, but more focused on their respective strengths.

Right -- it just seems like the Steelers have been throwing a lot of money around to good but not great players. JPJ is not yet elite, but he is much closer to the top of his respective position than any of those other three guys.If the right money was offered....he would have signed. At least we got our back up Olber signed... along with our back up TE also. Now throw in our backup DT. Our starting CB being signed long term is over rated.
I'd like to know his salary compared to his peers, I bet he is currentlty handsomely compensated, like a GM probably. Maybe he doesn't want the cap management but analyzing the talent and this is the perfect spotTrue, but Weidl is going to need a title sooner than later or he will be sought after and made a GM for another team.
We need to retain him now and I think that might take a title of some kind.
