Bettis ducking Ray Ray??

Sitting in doctors office chatting with a Ravens fan who was on one of their message boards. Don't know how to copy and paste link on my phone.

So they are talkin about a hit from 2001 from Ray on Bettis. Saying he knocked him the **** out and that should be Ray Ray's HOF clip and from that point on ducked the Ravens??? Even one sayin atleast eddie George didn't hide

I don't discount Ray got a good stick on a guy twice his size, but have no recollection of Bus hiding from Ray and remember Kreider and Bus also laying out Ray.

I also remember George dodging both steelers and ravens, but to paint Bettis as a ***** who was afraid of Ray is total bullshit.

Ray was a good tackler but never a hard hitter. He weighs as much as Bettis' thigh so if he hit him off balance, yes it probably looked fierce but I doubt the Bus batted an eye at squaring up on Ray the next play. Hell, I remember Amos Zereoue knocking Ray Ray back 5 yards for a TD when Ray Ray squared up to put a lick on him one-on-one and all of Amos Zereoue's 5-7 200lbs took on the killer and knocked him into the end zone.

I dunno, Bussy got right up and was jawing at Ray Ray. I don't see anything spectacular there. A lot of people tackled the Bus every game, it's not like he ran for a TD every time he touched the ball.

celebrating a hit that is 13 years old? Don't we see those kind of hits practically every game? It was a nice hit, but hardly something I'd be pumping chests over. If that's Lewis' defining hit, then they either are not looking hard enough or he didn't register enough to be considered "punishing".

I was expecting the Bus' helmet to go flying, mouthpiece being picked off the turf and atleast a 10-count from the hit. Disappointing.
