By Brandon Wallace SteelerNation.com It’s been 96 hours of built up frustration and chatter since Pittsburgh’s latest win streak came to an end last Sunday against the Denver Broncos. The most notable voice has been from Pittsburgh’s all-pro quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger.*Roethlisberger took to radio today and emphasized that he “has a right” to be critical […]

Ben is saying and doing what Tomlin can not, at least in public. And unlike Tomlin, he'll take the blame if he plays poorly. I like it. Its called LEADERSHIP.

No problem with it. Could have maybe worded some things different. Used WE and Young players instead of naming. He did the tough love thing with Bryant. Didn't go well.

Bryant’s love of weed was the problem.

Of course that was the problem. But Ben calling him out publicly really didn't help a lot. My opinion is that making public statements is unnecessary and counterproductive. You are behind closed door, say what you need to say. Other than that you are speaking to an audience of a million to what should be an audience of one.

I love him dressing down bad play and heaping criticism on himself...just not in public.

....not going to go well unless him and ab light it up. Book it

Well obviously talking to Bryant in public did no good.

What did Ben say that was so bad? AB throws a water cooler, throws his hands up gesturing towards Ben during a game and most run to ABs defense saying he's just competitive, he was open, he just wants the ball. Ben says something and everyone gets bent out of shape.

BEN didn't say anything bad, at all and I'm glad you point that out as many here need reminders..........

. As for those who think he should have kept it private, ponder on this. BEN had that private conversation with the individuals involved. The player(s) didn't hear it from the MEDIA first, contrary to what the media wants you to think. He is a CAPTAIN and dang well is finally doing what captains do. For years many here said he needs to step up and be a leader well NOW that he is many here are crucifying him for it. Can't have it both ways and I for one am glad he is holding players accountable.

since 2004 Ben always takes the blame, even when it is obvious it wasn't his fault. Time for a different approach

No truer statement about a player has been said. BEN always took the blame for those LAME *** OL teams he had earlier in his career. He has NEVER thrown players / coaches / under the bus. He had many opportunities to do so but always took the high road and held himself beyond accountable in his team's defense. NO ONE should ever dispute that yet many are saying / riding that line of reasoning. ****

ONE more thing,..........watch a few PAYTON MANNING interviews right after a game and then you I will se what "THROWING UNDER THE BUS". IS REALLY ABOUT...... **** Payton manning

Not to mention during ABs Facebook live video, Ben walks by and says let's go guys coach is here, AB pays him no mind.

The problem with the national media is they get a few local snippets of information, completely out of context, and they constantly blow it out of proportion. I can guarantee you that none of those talking shitheads on First Take listened to the entire 21 minutes of Ben's show (like I did).

Yeah, Ben mentioned he spoke to AB about the route in the end zone. So what? He also later called Brown "one of the best in the business." The interviewers asked Ben what happened at the end of the game, and he honestly explained it from his perspective. Big ******* deal. Oh my, he said he wanted to go to JuJu all 4 times...the guy was having a monster day. Again, so what? All of a sudden, going to the hot guy is automatically a slight on your diva wide receiver. Ben also said they took what the defense was giving them, and most of the day the Broncos had a safety on top of Brown. JuJu had single coverage on the goal line...isn't this still a ******* team sport?

Then the king of the divas, Deion, and the other clown Steven A. Smith are making fun of Ben because Bell never texted or called Roethlisberger back. You know, Me'Veon, the guy who ****** his team over after telling them he was going to show up? Yeah, Ben has bad character and poor leadership because Bell doesn't respect him enough to bother. I guess Bell has better character...he's not just a selfish, greedy ****, or anything.

Hey Primetime: Last time I checked, Brown and Bell haven't made Ben...win any more than the two Super Bowls he won without either of them.

Perfect.

Deion “This is Ben....he has a consistency in this track record of life”. BS. Deion was a great player, but he wasn’t anywhere near the legend he thinks he was. These guys hold on to the lights to the point it’s embarrassing.

Stephen A is a moron that thrives on his big mouth and a self proclaimed expertise of football and basketball.

He should stick to basketball.

How do you know they didn’t have conversations behind closed doors first?

Logic says the coaches tried that first. As a Star Qb Ben’s words carry weight. Some divas who want the ball listen to their qbs. Other guys pay more attention to public peer pressure.

IMO Ben took a shot because the coaches failed to get through to Bryant.
