Any other coach with his resume would've been a lock on the first ballot. This is a big deal. A tarnished reputation in the eyes of the voters--and everyone else for that matter--as they recognized him for the cheater he is.

The Baseball Hall of Fame would ban Belichick for life. Everyone associated with the NFL is questioning how it is even possible Belichick didn't make it. Did they forget that quickly or what?

In the original “spy-gate”, as part of the discipline……. Billicheat was to be banned for life if he ever got caught cheating again.
Obviously that wasn’t enforced multitude of times…………
The spy-gate was the start of the end of football as we knew it. If any one is to be blamed for the fall of football, you could name the cheatriots franchise. Not just on one occasion, and add in the preferred treatment / integrity of the game / blatant home-field cheating / amongst many other aspects of cheating and let go by the Rog.
Tainted is no way to go through life, there are many of us that remember this and will remind of it.

I'd wager those punks bugged the hell out of that stadium and around the field. You only need audio to match with the regular game film. ?Magic half time adjustments my ***.
Have a defense always in the right place at the right time. And that's with drafting damn near last for over a decade.
They make it all about Brady,but that defense made just as much impact if not more.
I also blame our coaches for not changing anything and adapting to someone who knows everything you're going to do. Nope, they just let themselves be made fools of.

He deserves the same treatment, but we both know that won't happen. He benefited quite a bit, especially early on.
Too many TV viewers and ratings in the Northeast.
In the Pro Football Hall of Fame (NFL), coaches do not have to wait 5 years anymore. As of August 2024, the waiting period was reduced from five years to one year out of the game.

Also, voters historically havent voted for coaches that they think will coach again.. like Parcells when he first " retired"
