Blast from the past.....what’s the Toddster doing now.

How incredibly sad does Canada have to be at his job, that people are clamoring for Todd Haley to return...THAT pretty much sums up the current state of the Steelers offense.

Canada sucked at Pitt, last year and this year(so far). Looking at you HCMT for employing him for a second year. Saying that, who do you promote to OC? Sullivan?

the 2016 Pitt Offense scored nearly 41 points per game (40.9) ranking them 10th out of 128 NCAA teams. Canada was also a finalist for the Broyles award as top assistant coach in the NCAA.

MAN! Did he suck at Pitt or what??

Haley wasn't a bad OC he was just a jerk.
Agreed...anyone that saw him on Hard Knocks knows why he is now a HS coach. He is not worth the headache that he brings, 32 NFL teams and hundreds of college teams apparently agree.

LOL...when you average as many rushing yards per game as you do throwing the ball.

Sorry, what is your point? The QB was Nathan Peterman and the Running back was James Connor. Any OC worth his salt understands the strengths and weaknesses of his team and scheme. So, how did Nathan fare in the NFL? from Wiki.

Peterman struggled early in the NFL, throwing five interceptions during the first half of his starting debut and posting a 0.0 passer rating in the 2018 season opener. His 11 interceptions between 2017 and 2018 are the most for a quarterback with less than 100 passing attempts.[1] Released by the Bills during the 2018 season, Peterman joined the Raiders franchise, where he served as a backup for four seasons. He signed with the Bears in 2022.

Yeah, Canada should have passed more with this guy. Just admit you dont like Canada and you're not willing to give him an ounce of credit.

The proof is in the pudding...what Canada did in college is irrelevant to the NFL. Your own explanation shows he could not make a QB better...but that is who we should have building with Trubiski and Pickett... Any OC that has a running game that AVERAGES 225 yards a game SHOULD be ******* successful.

8-5 and losing in the Pinstripe Bowl sure was great! Beating Clemson was their signature win. Maybe the putrid D overshadowed the offense scoring 76 on Syracuse, but giving up 61. Yikes.

TRUTH!
And he rubbed Ben the wrong way…..even though Ben probably had best statistical seasons under him.
Haley recognized O-Line deficiency and designed quick hits that sprung WRs. Antonio Clown also grateful for these schemes.

College success transferring over to the NFL is a very low percentage of coaches and players. Literally a different game. Canada sucks and everyone can see it clear as day.
I would be surprised if Canada can get the Steelers to 100yds rushing let alone 225

That's because in college, on average, there are MAYBE 1-2 guys that will be playing in the NFL after college. In the NFL there are 53 guys that do play in the NFL. The game is bigger, faster, and stronger. The Game is more complex and scheme becomes more paramount. Canada is running a college spread offense that relies on your QB/RB being faster than the guys on the other side of the ball...that does not happen very often in the NFL. Combine that with his reliance on motion before the snap, half the time, when we run the ball, we bring the WR's into the line and bring even more defenders into the box...then wonder why there is no running room. This scheme is beyond asinine...until that changes, nothing is going to change in Pittsburgh.

As the resident Canada expert as far as his entire career, was that a one year at Pitt an anomaly or has he stacked multiple good years anywhere?

From what I’ve seen in the NFL from his concepts, they don’t work. Some coaches are just better in college, he very well may be one that needs to return there…maybe it’s Tomlin??? Maybe both??? All I do know is everything that’s been shown here under his watch as OC has been way below what the standard should be.

Canada wasn't even really successful in college. His resume proves that.

Stacked years of success? he has barely stacked any years staying at the same job.

Exactly, good OC but didn’t get along with the future HOF QB. Probably because he wouldn’t let Ben air it out on every play like Arians and Fictner did.
