Businessman Mike Braun decisively won the Indiana Senate Republican primary on Tuesday night.
Mike Braun handily defeated Reps. Todd Rokita (R-IN) and Luke Messer (R-IN) on Tuesday. Braun will face off against incumbent Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-IN) in the 2018 Indiana general Senate election.

Braun said in a statement on Tuesday night, “Tonight, Hoosiers spoke loud and clear – they want a conservative outsider representing them in the U.S. Senate and I am grateful to have their support.”

Braun added, “From the beginning, our message has been pretty simple – we need more outsiders and less career politicians in Washington. More folks that have done something in the real world.”

National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) Chairman Chris Hansen applauded Braun’s victory in Indiana’s GOP primary.

“Congratulations to Mike Braun on his win in tonight’s primary,” said NRSC Executive Director Chris Hansen. “Mike’s success in creating jobs for Hoosiers as a business owner is a stark contrast to Joe Donnelly’s history of shipping jobs to Mexico, and his record will ensure his success in the general election.”

Braun spent millions on ads during the GOP primary, arguing that he is the true conservative outsider. The Indiana businessman has cast his opponents, Reps. Messer and Rokita, as “swamp creatures” who have long careers as politicians.

Braun was elected to the Indiana State House in 2014.

Braun promised to continue his campaign against Sen. Donnelly, channeling President Donald Trump’s anti-establishment and populist rhetoric.

“This fall, we’re going to send a message to Senator Donnelly and the rest of Washington that politics shouldn’t be a career and if we want to change things we need to change the people we send there,” Braun explained.

“I’m going there to get the job done and come back home, and the only people I’ll owe anything to is the voters of Indiana,” Braun concluded.

Donnelly is toast. He, along with every other democrat voted against the tax cuts. The blue wave is a hoax, made up by the fake news propaganda just like all the fake polls showing Hillary way ahead of Trump. The idiot democrats have no platform to run on except hatred for Trump. Well, and then there's this list:

They want higher taxes
They are against fair trade
They want Iran to have nukes
They want to force us to buy healthcare
They do not want to enforce our immigration laws
They want to eliminate our 2nd amendment rights
They want as many blacks dependent on the the government as possible
They want our military to pay for sex changes
They want men to use women's restrooms
They want socialism across the entire globe and no countries with borders

Blue wave? nothing but a blue waffle now

Explain to me how a Republican Primary has any bearing on the (non)possibility for a 'Blue Wave' in November.

I mean -- it's not like you were looking at voter turnout for a Republican vs a Democrat.

My point was that those three candidates campaigned based on who was the biggest Trump supporter. The guy who was the most Pro-Trump won easily and he'll get the support of those of who voted for the other guys in November. The other part is me just calling the shot in November. Just a prediction.

There were more Bernie security then audience. The guy walking out is hilarious. He had enough.

I can't wait for the Bernie vs Biden primary show-down.....that's all they got!

that's gonna be a hoot!

They are basing this whole "Blue Wave" nonsense on throwing a ****-ton of money at some special elections and local races and the successful smear job they did on Roy Moore with the help of the MSM. I think when the midterms roll around we will see a blue trickle.

With Flake wanting to be President and McCain not likely to live much longer, both seats for Senator from Arizona are up for grabs.

Kyrsten Sinema, a congresswoman, currently in the US house is getting an incredible amount of air time here.
The DNC is throwing a boat load of money behind her. The ads are coming across as a family values, I love our military, my little brother is a police officer tactic.

15 years ago when she was in the AZ house she was a flaming hard left liberal. I don't think she has changed, but her approach to getting elected has. And with the recent influx of new residents here, she just might get away with it.

I'm not even sure the Republicans have a credible candidate for either office yet.

CNN poll: Democrats' 2018 advantage is nearly gone

The generic congressional ballot has continued to tighten, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS, with the Democrats' edge over Republicans within the poll's margin of sampling error for the first time this cycle.

About six months out from Election Day, 47% of registered voters say they back the Democratic candidate in their district, 44% back the Republican. Voters also are divided almost evenly over whether the country would be better off with the Democrats in control of Congress (31%) or with the GOP in charge (30%).

A sizable 34% -- including nearly half of independent voters (48%) -- say it doesn't matter which party controls Congress.

The Democrats' advantage in the generic ballot dipped from 16 points in February to six points in March to just three points now. The party's advantage has waned among enthusiastic voters as Republican enthusiasm has grown.

It's about picking good candidates who can win in November.
Upside, the Dems in the Senate have a lot more seats to defend than the Republicans do.

poof - Dems, still stuck on Russia, ha ha

As Republicans surge, Ralph Nader turn the screws on Democrats

"I think the Democratic Party should take the third party agenda away from it. They should have a living wage, crack down on corporate crime, full Medicare for All. Democratic Party, stop scapegoating, look in the mirror, and ask yourself why you cannot landslide the worst, the most ignorant, the most corporate indentured, the cruelest Republican Party in history. Look in the mirror."

The good news, the far left is taking control of the Dems messaging

'All We Need Is More Progressive Candidates'

Well, there were a bunch of those running in the primaries this past Tuesday. They were supported by the people who told them that if they ran true progressives they'd be sure to win.

Guess what? Every last one of those progressive candidates lost!

Every candidate who was endorsed by Our Revolution, the best known alternative progressive organization, lost. None of them will be on the November ballot.

Democrats have learned nothing from the last election. The fact that Pelosi still has influence shows how bad the delusion is.

This is a real commercial that will be running in New Mexico unedited. Progressive candidate Pat Davis. Yeah, run on this....

Remember "Progressives" what to end civilian ownership of firearms because you won't willingly get on the train cars to "re-education camps" if you still have your guns. Disarmed populations always face oppression.
